Phone has stopped being able to dial out

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I've a 59 plate Octavia L&K. Until literally this week, I was able to phone out and receive calls via rSAP to my paired Nokia phone.

However, now I can't dial out - I can however still receive calls.

The phone connects to the car via Bluetooth, I can see my selected shortcut numbers on the car's touchscreen.

However, on the phone itself there is no signal indicator relating to my service provider.

When I'm not in the car, or connected via rSAP, the signal indicator shows on the phone screen, as does the phone.

I have credit on the phone too.

I'd welcome any ideas as to how to resolve this.

My service provider is GiffGaff (via O2).

Many thanks for reading this.

Hi Simbo,

Thanks for your thoughts on this, and for explaining that rSAP is - what you've written makes sense.

I've actually resolved the problem - human error on my part!

I hadn't any credit on my car phone! As soon as I topped it up, I could phone out without connecting it to the car, and also when it was connected.

So all's good. I have a car phone again!
