Superb III my findings.

Featured Replies

It is just my "slight" lack of photographic professional acumen me thinks because in real life I thought it was quite good and I have the L&K, therefore brown interior.

Thanks! I really appreciate you taking time to get all this done for us. Cheers!

I don't think so. When I had a look at one the other day, it looked to be pretty much the size of a normal ashtray. Maybe a 'phonebox' ashtray will be bigger??

The ash tray is very deep it goes back twice depth of what you can see in the photo.

Apparently that's now in the infotainment system in the CAR menu. It seems it's still the ABS-related circumference measurement type.

Thats a pity... that will mean yet another blank switch I fear  :D

Unfortunately, as I have discovered after talking to Škoda UK, not everything in the manual can be taken as gospel.

The downloadable owners manual is simply an english language translation of the international manual so not everything in the manual will apply to the UK market models.

A subtle hint is that the illustrations all show a LHD vehicle and speed is shown in km/h. In fact the only references to mph is regarding the emergency spare wheel and that a speed limit sign displayed in "Traffic sign recognition" may refer to km/h or mph depending which country you're in.

One can but hope that the important parts are relevant, like the auto-hold description, or it's going to be "But officer, there should have been auto-hold when I jumped the red light - it's the car's fault!"

That said, it is shown in Danny's pictures ((A)) next to the electronic handbrake.

Autohold is quoted in the UK Spec.

As somebody with a Nexus 6 that's a shame :( why make a phone box that does not fit current phones

Are you sure it had the phonebook fitted as Danny’s post suggests differently

That's the thing. I said in my post that I don't know if the phonebox is bigger or not.

Just browsing through a brochure here and it lists the S III as having auto folding mirrors when locked for the SE and above.. Glad they have that because although I have folding mirrors on my S II they only fold when you do it manually.

Have you tried holding the 'lock' button on for a few seconds when you lock the car. On mine this then folds the mirrors in.

Press the button and count to two usually does it where as the S III is just push the button and it all happens at the same time.

I haven't. I will try that when I get home. Cheers.

On the S2 the "hold for 2 seconds" only works on the fob (also shuts windows, and vice versa if you hold the unlock pressed).

If you've got KESSY it makes no difference how long you touch the handle, the mirrors don't fold.

The purpose of KESSY is to negate the need to use a key or press a fob, but fails in this one respect.

At least on the S3 that now works with a single touch, including the KESSY "touch-the-handle" locking.

Just held the fob for well over two seconds but they didn't fold in [emoji17]

Further update. Tried pressing the fob, releasing and then pressing and holding it again resulted in the mirrors folding in. Happy days.
