Anyone had any experience

Featured Replies

With Dastek Plug and play chips. Had a conversation today with Dastek up in Dalgety bay scotland, asking me if i fancied purchasing one.

Figures they where talking about was 170bhp/280 torque, which is not too bad and it is removable, so that would sort out warranty claims :)

But i take it these are generic maps as they suit a lot of Vag/skoda models. The price quoted was just over 400 quid.

So has anyone had or heard of anyone who has this unit on there Fabia VRS.

im not aware of dastek directly, but at just over 400 then i think it would be worth adding under 100 quid to it and taking a trip to starperformance and getting a custom map written. IMO of course

I've heard of Dastek chips for lots of different cars, was unaware they did anything for Skoda though.

Meant to be a pretty good outfit

Yeh if i was going down that route of remap, Star where going to be my first port of call. But from reading on www.dastek.co.uk the plug and play seems pretty impressive.

Although as Big W stated a custom remap is only a tad more expensive, but if this can do what it states it can, it may not be a bad idea. One of the things that is appealing is the fact it can be removed quickly. :)

I will be speaking to Paul At Dastek again to get some more info. But from what it states on the site, its not just fueling thats altered, boost pressure ect are also taken into account.
