Featured Replies

I will be picking up my 2010 Superb later today, the last new car I bought was the L200 ten years ago so we are really looking forward to the new member of the family,if we have as much fun with this as the L200 I will be well chuffed. Will post first thoughts this evening

Enjoy.

2010 was the best model year for new-to-brand Skoda owners :D

Sure. I'm biased. Welcome aboard!

Wow! what a car, I have only driven it for 60ks but at the moment I love every thing about it. I think its going to take me about six months to work out how to use all the toys. The last car I had anything like this was a 265 V6 volvo, that was 25 years ago and it did about 18 to the gallon on a good day. Am going for another spin in a minute- love it. Oh and another first the garage put all new brake pads, discs and tyres on it!

Hi numskull

Its a french spec and its advertised as a suberb praha. I think its the same as the elegance as it has xenon, climate control, and all the other bells and buzzers, including the adaptive suspension it corners like its on rails  which is just as well because where I live we dont do straight! So far im over the moon with it

Diesel or petrol engine supersnail?

The Praha was the top of the range Superb at the time, discontinued in France in 2011 and replaced with the L&K name (must have been a marketing clash at launch in France so they could't use the L&K name at birth). A lovely car.

Full details on here:

Scroll down for Praha spec but in essence (and in English) it offered the following over and above the Elegance Spec:

Praha (en plus). Système de navigation avec écran tactile (Columbus unit). Radars de stationnement avant et arrière (parking sensors front and rear). Phares directionnels au xénon et éclairage avant adaptatif (adaptive xenon headlights). Sellerie en cuir intégrale (full leather). Inserts en bois (wooden inserts to doors and dash). Sièges chauffants (heated seats).

Oh and another first the garage put all new brake pads, discs and tyres on it!

Damn right he did well, clearly not in the UK though!

Imagine a UK dealer doing that :D

I got new summer and winter tyres and front brake pads on mine when I got it...did not ask for them BUT it was required for the MFK (MOT) here in Switzerland. They were obviously a bit worn...

I imagine they had to do the same for the Controle Technique (MOT) in France before sale.

Yeh I think I was getting carried away with the suspension, its just so much tauter than I thought it would be! Its going back to the garage next week for the aircon I think the compressor is naff, also they are putting a new colombus unit in and a new bonnet cos this ones got a nice big dent in it, all under guarantee, fortunately.

They either got the car for nothing or are losing money as th Columbus unit will cost them over 2000 Euros alone. I think you have a very good car dealer there.

LOL -SSnail -  I run the Mitsi L200 Owners Club and still have my truck :D

Hi Chris good to hear from you have just been on the other site!Danny 57 in answer to your thoughts on the colombus etc the guarantee is through a company called macadam. I looked at their website and its seems that they specialize in recycling lease/hire vehicles back into the second hand market. What they do is to inspect each car and sell it on to dealers at a price that allows them to bring the car up to spec and sell on.
