Spaceback nets, boot mat, rubber tunnel mat and LED boot light

Featured Replies

Very nice Chris. Wow that boot light is seriously bright :)

I didn't realise the tunnel mat was that small but very useful.

Fantastic! The boot light might be too bright. All other accessories look practical and fit the car's general image. The "RAPID" logo on the rubber mat is certainly catching the eye!

damn, i'll be definitely getting that rubber mat on next superskoda discount deal

Am liking the mods Chris - I was really pleased with the Skoda original rubber boot mat too.

Is the divider tray a Skoda part?

Yep - the divider tray is a genuine Skoda part (listed on SuperSkoda as well as your local parts counter) and fits the Spaceback as well as the normal Rapid - double sided as well. One side is the two divided trays, the other is flat carpeted to act as half a raied boot floor.

Hi Chris,

Many years ago I spent a fortune putting in carpets in my car to get it looking cool. Now it seems rubber is in :<)

I missed the Superskoda sale but bought the boot light at the weekend based on your recommendation.

Glad to hear you went for the light - you will be hugely impressed when you fit it.

One tip, if it doesn't fit in the hole the old light unit came out of, turn it round so the connector is at the opposite end. Sounds weird but it works. Also make sure the cable is clear of the back of the light, as it gets warm.

As for the mats. I actually prefer carpet mats in the passenger cabin (and have three sets for the Rapid inc the genuine Skoda ones). However, the weather has been so variable since last winter that I never got round to swapping back from rubber to carpet. I can see the rubber mats staying in through to Easter at this rate :(

Rubber in the boot though is definitely the way to go.

Was that back in the good old days when they still manufactured in the UK and in Illinois? Everything has been offshored to China now, and Illinois just does R&D and prototyping. It really shows in the quality of the rackets - not as good as they used to be.

We manufactured golf clubs only in Irvine, Scotland. i was there 87 to 92 (last big recession)

Great engineering and manufacturing experience.

We did all from forgings and raw cast irons and made wood woods and changed over to metal woods.

We had distribution store for all products of Europe and Middle East.

So had fairly good access to all the kit. ;<)

PS: Travelled allover USA including Chicago HQ etc

How easy is it to remove the cover cap again, if you need to use the lock?

Funnily enough - I've been mailing them since Thursday about the incorrect Fabia II net they supplied - also been getting no reply from them.

Had no choice today but to escalate it to a PayPal dispute, hopefully they will reply to that.

I got a reply at last they said it does state comes solid with no holes I didn't think they meant key hole all sorted now just made a hole .... Now looking to change bulbs on headlights

And I just got a reply as well - apologising for error. Apparently they've sent out the correct boot nets for the Fabia Combi today.

Fair enough.

Chris

They've certainly changed there tune over the last couple of years. They're great to deal with now :)

Can anybody let me know what the delivery charges are like from Superb skoda? I want the boot nets for my Spaceback. Also, why is everything showing in Euros? I can't seem to get it in GBP.

Thanks in advance.

Delivery charges are stated on their web site. They vary depending on the value of your order.

Everything is priced in Euros because it is a Czech web site, not a British one. The Czech Republic uses the Euro as its currency.

Thanks, that page wasn't working on my mobile, it's fine now I am on a laptop.

Now just have to wait for another discount weekend!

Actually they use the Czech koruna, but the VW group (along with most EU countries) use the Euro so it's more convenient to quote prices with the Euro.

My mistake, I thought they had satisfied entry criteria and adopted the Euro.

But yes, as their main market uses the Euro (rarher than Sterling), there is little point in SuperSkoda pricing goods in our mighty currency.

...added to which, it has made everything on their site rather cheaper of late for us Brits :) than if they had fixed sterling prices on show.
