k&n air filter

Featured Replies

i need help fiting k&N air filter fiting in my skoda superb 2 tdi.

I used to have one on my Allroad 2.5 TDi and honestly didn't notice any difference.  I read that oil from the filter can foul the MAF and cause problems so I stopped using it.

yes that is correct on a tdi they are useless & the oil they use on the filter kills mafs...your better off using a genuine air filer & saving some money

:notme:

I posted this on fitting a K&N a few months ago - it might help.

Over-oiling any cotton gauze filter will cause issues to the maf sensor as much as a damaged paper or sponge filter will cause issues.

Lots of wives tales out there.

K&N is fine. It comes pre oiled. DO NOT OIL IT, just fit it. Ive used them for 25 years on a range of cars without issue. Always gained mpg and a bit of HP. And a great noise :)
