Only a full strip, respray and rebuild. This one however will be a little quicker than standard ! Watch this space.

Here we go again ! First job on 88 was to unlock the dead locked rear door. Door card removal with door shut is quite easy. You can get to all the screws around the edge once the door frame rubber is removed. Then it's a case of brute force and ignorance to break the door mechanism off so the lock can be released.

Time for a polish on 66/100 top coat of Swissvax Glacier. I'm very impressed with this stuff.

Another piece of the jigsaw for 66/100. Unobtainable from Skoda WRC sill protectors I managed to find a pair of new ones. Also upgraded number plate bulbs to 501 led's.

Number plate light = 501, on it

Completed some little jobs on 88/100. Fixed drivers door by replacing mechanism. Replaced broken centre console cup holder. Also took delivery of some 2.0 tfsi coil packs. Just need to source some adapters now.

What an amazing project, very impressive. I was in ore of your black mk1 but this is just great to see. Are you going for one Oe concourse and one minted high spec version?

I don't suppose you were in timperley, Altrincham (Cheshire) in one of them recently? Or know of someone that has one near here? I nearly soiled my pants when I saw one outside my local shops a few weeks back.

66/100 will be restored to factory fresh condition. As for 88/100 wait and see ! And it wasn't me in Cheshire. If you see it again try and get the number cheers.

This one has been for sale for ages. It's at an independent Skoda garage near to me. I offered him money for it 3 years ago when it was standard but had been sitting outside for a few years. They declined my offer and have now ruined it in my opinion.

Managed to do a few bits to 66/100 today. Swapped the steering wheel to one in much better condition.

Car looking as nice as ever Pete, not sure on the 66/100 stickers myself, as I know how original you want it to be.
