The rear road noise is a common issue that is easily solved by the dealer, I'm surprised they don't do this fix when booking the cars in!

Good for you, glad your happy with the Octavia, if I had my time again I'd have gone for the 11 plate octavia VRS for sale at same time as mine was. Still you live and learn. Might look at some tweaks on mine as I'm stuck with it for next 3 years, I'm thinking about a new air filter and lowering it properly, anyone got any advice on both?

Old suspension settings were really bad then.  The Octavia has gotta be better - its aimed at a higher market segment. Hope you enjoy it.

Nels.

Checkout:

Eibach for 30mm drop springs (or a kit with Bilstein dampers as well)

H&R for 35mm drop springs

Lowtec for -30/-40

KW for springs or coilovers

You'd be better off going for an induction kit rather than just a filter.

demon tweeks is a good UK online shop to view a huge variety of tuning parts.  Then hunt around the net for good prices on stuff you want.

Regarding the armrest Ive just fitted one to mine (From SuperSkoda) and its brilliant! I always used to get the what the hell do I do with my left hand on long motorway journeys to the point where it would ache after a long drive. This solves it has loads of extra storage and yeh it kinda get in the way of the handbrake but you soon adapt and find ways round it without having to leave it up all the time.

The armrest is great for main roads, less so around town. It can adjust to the same height  as the one on the door -  so perfectly comfy for both elbows.
