Lost radio screen -Golf?

Featured Replies

Just jumped into my Golf to pick up my daughter and lost my radio/infotaiment screen, it is very slightly backlite but lost all displays..... :(

Had it not playing any audio on start up quite a few times but a quick switch off and back solved that but never had blank screen.

Locked car a few times and unlocked and started but screen is off.

I assume it's the same DAB type as in most Skoda's anyone else had this?

Dealership,new unit under warranty.

Ben, never had an issue with mine. Is it the Pro Nav 8.5" screen spec?

No it is just the standard DAB thing.

It has played up pretty much from new with the sound just not working on the odd occasion at start up but it was a minor hindrance that I could live with.

Suppose I should go join a VW forum and ask but I like it here and my radio should be in a Skoda too.

Id just be bringing in and saying its been faulty since day one, and finally quit. New one please.

Bu??er. Gone out this morning all working again?

I locked the car several times last night to reset everything too.

Need to speak to them about some other minor niggles so this can now go on the list :)

Ben,

That's a pain in the ass. Hope you get your niggles sorted out soon ,without any hassle.

VCDS scan the radio to see if any faults have been logged?

Dealer said they have had 3 or 4 other recent dab radio's have random blank screens???

Reckon its due an update on the software needed but they had no idea on why I switch on some days and have no audio. A quick off/on sorts but its a niggle.

Booked to try and sort my flickering xenon and try to find my rattle/rumble back by the drivers side B pillar too. No courtesy cars for almost 4 weeks but can book it in next week from Wednesday on.
