Hello from Sheffield

Featured Replies

Hello I'm new to this site, new to Skoda's and first time diesel owner.Up until Saturday I was the owner of a 330bhp impreza that I had,had since 2004.We also have a Corsa VXR.

Today I bought a black Fabia VRS, 1 owner,70k totally standard.I want to drop it slightly, colour code the front grill and fit a front splitter, is there any cheap mods I can do to get more power out the engine? I will eventually have it mapped etc.

Thanks for looking, Steve

Did the impreza move on or a worse fate?

The quick fix on the fabia is the remap path, after that it's a really well trodden path for brakes, turbo's exhausts. When I say well trodden, few are the same :D

After starting out as a standard UK turbo and 11 years of ownership and spending 1000`s on forged this and uprated that it came to an end on saturday when someone pulled out on me and i locked up sliding sideways and hitting the curb with both wheels.

I could have repaired it but i had done all i could do with the mods plus i fancied a new project. On the plus side by selling all my "upgrades" off the scoob it will fund the mods on the VRS and im very excited again...but sad aswell if that makes sense,i just have to tell myself "its just a car" but after 11 years its like part of the family.

Oh sound two local people, you will both come in handy when the modding begins or I don't know how to put something back together. Haha

We've both had Fabia VRS's in the past, and Dave's missus still has a silver one which you might see around chap.

He'll know a lot more about them than me, as he has owned them a lot longer than I did.

Loads of info in the Fabia forums, and don't be afraid to ask, if the search bar doesn't throw up the required results

Enjoy the car, and the site :)

Regards

Welcome Steve.... Yep As Damo says we're in Chap so keep a look out for us. Both our Superb and the vRS have Brisky stickers in the windows. ;)

I had my vRS from new in 2006 through till 2010 and the mrs has had hers from 2007 when she moved from a CTR and the vRS is the longest she has ever had a car!!!!

P.S.

When Damo says to look out for a modded red Octy vRS.... What he means is look out for that this month as next month he'll have moved on to car no. 374. :D
