Any models with tilt adjust seats?

Featured Replies

Do any of the Rapid trim levels or options have tilt-adjustable seat bases?

The height adjuster changes the horizontal angle of the squab yes.

Don't think this is what the OP meant.  I suspect he wants independent adjustment of seat squab angle.  I had this on an Audi A4 Sport and on three Nissan Primeras and I miss it - being able to separately adjustment how much support the seat gives the thighs is a great aid to driver comfort.

Yep that's what I meant, independent front/back tilt. I've had it on every car I've ever owned but I didn't realise I was just lucky - very few new cars I'm looking at have got it.

Reason for needing adjustment is I like to sit like I'm taking off on the space shuttle, whereas my wife is normal.

One of reasons we got the V40, as I've found a number of recent Skoda's uncomfortable partly due to the fixed seat base angle chosen by the designers. Appreciate you can get electric seats but not on all models and often only as an option on top of the range trims. Whereas our V40 is the base trim, in X Country guise and even the manual cloth drivers seat has a good range of adjustments.

However with the Spaceback I've been happy with the the comfort of the sport seats, despite the rather limited adjustments.

Mmmm I must admit i've noticed a few times where this would have been a good feature on the rapid. Usually get lower back pain at one side as my back is always floating rather than touching the seat back. If I could have rotated the seat slightly it would have helped this!
