Back on Tip top form Ste! Thanks buddy.

Had too much on my mind with work and purchase of the caravan too. All in all, a bit of a crazy couple of weeks. Everything has settled down now though mate!

Well, i'm thinking an AIO like SRP then something like Hydrocoat/Purity-X diluted into a spray sealant. I don't think I could wax the caravan, it's a 5 berth!! :D

Yes mate, been manic! Always keeping my eye out for one. There are some bargains out there, but waiting for next year still as the Convertible will sell easier and for more in the spring. i say that, but patience isn't my forte! haha

Wouldn't fancy waxing a 5 birth caravan myself so a spray sealant sounds tip top!

Going the right way about it then mate if your selling the ford. Should sell fairly easy spring time. There is some lovely Fabia' for sale at the moment. I keep looking as my dad says he wouldn't mind one!

Likewise. I'm no good with patience. I could do with buying bags of it!

The 5 berth caravan would certainly provide plenty of test area for the wax collection!!! :notme:

In all seriousness - I think KKD Purity-X via the lance would be good or perhaps a Gyeon Wetcoat type product?

Interested to follow what you do go with Neil - so keep us uptodate....

No thanks on waxing that bad boy!

I would be tempted to go Collinite 845 on DA or something like Ste suggested Car Chem Hydro Coat

Haha. It's gigantic!

I can get Hydrocoat of ebay for £15 so I'll probably go down that route! Plus I have it to add to QD's too! Winner!

My original plan tonight was to get home early, wash the car and apply Pro Edition to the bonnet from my panel pot.

All went out the window.. out came the beers and CD'S... 60bfadd1df1543d9663e953236ba42c3.jpg

Hopefully get it done Sunday and report back haha!

Can't beat a good night on the decks. Missed them so much due to moving. Slowly building my studio back up in between detailing lol.

Hi all! Quick update on the Definitive front!

As by previous posts you know I coated the car with Cora last week.

I had a panel pot from Ste of Pro Edition given to me a while back but forgot I had it. So.. I applied the Pro Edition to the Bonnet & from wings. I could probably coat the whole car it spreads that well but just testing before I buy some.

Bit of a weird texture to what I'm used to but once the applicator is loaded, spreading is very easy, little goes along way as it does with Cora.

Left to cure for 10 minutes. Buffed off as easy as it goes on, if not easier! Left great depth to the paint and a great reflection.

Pro Edition is £90 I believe. Abit more expensive than other waxes yes but offers great durability (Definitive Wax' words) and leaves a cracking finish. Some photos below for you all.

Thanks to Ste for the panel pot & hope you all enjoy the tiny review!

Thanks for taking the time to try out the Pro Edition sample Karl - apologies for the adhoc sample container! :giggle:

I was eager to hear your thoughts on it - as I find it a strange wax.

But your observations are very similar to my first impressions on Pro Edition.

The consistency of the produst is odd.... reminds me slightly of a BMD wax.... grainy, oily, fudge-like.

Although once applied to the applicator - it just spreads and spreads. Whatever "carriers" are used in the wax mix are amazing.

It is easy on and easy off; but for some reason I really prefer do Cora to Pro Edition - but I know opinions vary on this....

See how you find it come next wash routine I guess.....

FYI - Pro Edition has replaced Durus Glaze which was the highest durability option in the DW range.

The consistency you described there is exactly how it is. Very weird as I'm used to the traditional paste waxes.

Still based on that, it's very easy to use. I will certainly be adding to my DW collection (very small atm lol) and buying a pot.

Look forward to seeing how it holds up especially been applied to the front of the car!

Ah that's good to know! Should last a while then!

Managed to get a coat of Definitive Wax CORA on the .:R36 late on Sunday afternoon.

I was losing daylight - after chatting too long with Alan, then my neighbour as well! Doh!

So the pics are not the best.... but I was very happy with the finish

This tub of CORA has now done about 10 cars - but it hardly feels like I've used much from the tub.

Estimate about 90% full...
