Alas 4x4 front pipes have to be made on site & under car !

I'll suggest they make a "Jig", that way it may cut the fabrication time.

Maybe you'll hear me on the Darford Bridge when I come home. :D

What sort of bore do these systems have? Not just this one, but the Milltek, etc?

EddyH had a 1off and i think thats 3inch all the way through... i would have thought the majority of aftermarket systems would be 2.5-3inch bores.

I think that the Blueflame system for the Octy vRS is 63mm diameter :)

Just booked today for next Thursday Morning!!!!!

I did too - but for Dec 5th. Can't wait!

Just got home !!!

Left at 04.30hrs, 8hrs in the bland waiting room (and not even an offer of a cup of tea), home at 21.00hrs !!!!

I'll post again in the morning with further details.

Dave ,,,, I feel sorry for you mate, I've been through it ,,,, you've still got it to come! :tired:

But was it worth it?

But was it worth it?

Not sure yet, still trying to get over the day.

Not to mention the lack of hospitaliity!!!!:nutkick: I think not!

Sounds loud in the cab !!!!!

8 hours sat around is pretty bad, I know there isnt much to do around there (used to work nearby), but there are a couple of pubs nearby and a small shopping centre. If anyone else finds themselves losing the will to live, phone 01695 50005 (local taxis) and get 'em to take you to the Concourse (shopping, food etc) or the Crawford Arms in Crawford Village for lunch - nice little pub with pool table, TV and ok food.

Really sorry I didnt mention this now mate, I was under the impression they had a decent waiting room (with xbox??) and may have actually passed this sort of info on to their customers

Not even a cup of tea? My god...:shakehead

Dave, how are you finding yours? do you get much in the way of booming and noise in the cabin?

Dave, how are you finding yours? do you get much in the way of booming and noise in the cabin?

So far all seems good

Performance is up on standard, especially in the mid range where it seems to pull very smoothly :D It also sounds a lot better as well - a nice meaty, rounded exhaust note (none of this farting baboon type noise you often hear from ch4vved up paxos  )

So far I have not noticed any booming noise in the cabin. It does sound louder when you boot it but when cruising or on light throttle application it is no louder than the OEM system.

One random noise I have noticed is a high pitched whistling (NOT the normal turbo sound) above 2.5k rpm or so under wide open throttle. This could be the wastegate dumping excess boost or ...

Note that at the moment I only have the cat back system - the sports cat will be fitted soon

Well I wish I'd seen that before I went but no worries, it's done now.

xBox would have been nice, MTV would have been nice, a CCTV showing the lads working on the car/forming the pipework etc would have even better.

I've a idea, how about counting how many times the workshop door & entrance door bang shut, they've both got closers on but they don't work, makes a right racket, should alleviate the bordom factor at no cost what-so-ever.

:D

Have to agree about the waiting area, there is a limit to how many times you can count the different end pipes and read the same magazine, at least I got a couple of cups of tea:thumbup:

Hardly any boom on the saloon, just an exhaust note that makes you want to use it, and where better than the M6 toll road on the way back.

Regarding boom, if I end up suffering from it, I may invest is some soundproofing for the boot floor and the inside of the rear wings. Apparently kits for specific cars are available, or i'd imagine any decent ICE centre could help... Might make a difference...

You will not notice it, it's not a boom just a sportier exhaust note that I love.

Sounds good to me..

Can't wait, Spoke to Nigel today, reckons on it taking around 2 hours to fit. Might take my laptop, headphones and rent a DVD to watch whilst in reception, along with a warm coat and a flask of Hot coffee!!

Sounds like a good idea.

There used to be a butty van parked up at the bottom of the street between 8am and 1 or 2pm. Its nickname in my old place was 'The Greasy Pig'. Not sure if it still does the rounds though..:)

If you come down the road from BF then turn left there is a butty van parked up about 300M on the left

So ,,,,,,,,, you got tea then  Must have been some they made in the workshop and nobody wanted.

May even have been that Gerry was off sick that day & you got his cup! :)

Definite boom in an Estate, but as I said, not a problem for me.

M6 toll road, I was a bit concerned here as the few cars using it all seemed to me doing 69mph AND all on the inside lane ????

I wondered if there were covert camera's around. :(

Still doing the rounds except that it's now down the road and turn right.

Not quite 1 star, but any port in a storm.

Steer clear of the sausages & hamburgers, absolutly fowl :thumbdwn:
