CH/LH lights

Recommended Posts

HI all

Ive activated my front Fogs as coming home/ Leaving home and was sure i had deactivated the dipped beams using VCDs, anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Ive searched through the forum and found something in the tried and tested VCDs tweaks section about switching off the dipped beams as CH/LH but these are already set to not active. amy advice would be much appreciated.

Blacksheep kindly changed the following for me and all worked OK:

Controller 09 - Central Electronics

16 - Security Access - enter 31347

10 – Adaptations

(4)-Comfort illumination-Coming Home Leuchten - change to Foglight (Nebellicht)

To turn off the dipped beams for CH/LH:

Change the following channels:

(8)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Lichtfunktion C 6 from Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv to not active

(8)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Lichtfunktion C 7 from Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv to not active

Really glad I did it to preserve the life of the xenon builbs

OK - if you have Halogen headlight units then the following channels are set to CH/LH as well so change these to Not Active

(8)-Leuchte4TFL LB4-Lichtfunktion C 4 Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv
(8)-Leuchte5 TFL RB32-Lichtfunktion C 5 Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv

Looks good to me :)

Either change the channels you have identified to 'not active' or change these 2 channels to a value of 0, or both! The choice is yours. Personally I would do both, remove the function and remove the brightness level.

(10)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Dimmwert CD 6
(10)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Dimmwert CD 7

Hi

Has the same problem, has a 2016 OCT3 estate.

Changing both to not active make no difference still have the fogs + dipped on as ch / lh light.

Leuchte4TFL LB4-Lichtfunktion C 4 Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv

Leuchte5 TFL RB32-Lichtfunktion C 5 Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv

I have coded LED DRL and reverse/back-up light as LH/CH.

As mentioned before, to get rid of the LH/CH function for the Xenon headlamps I had to leave CH/LH as active on Leuchte 4 & 5. But instead set the dimming value (normally CD4 & CD5) to zero.

Both LED DRL and backup lamps are dimmed to 50%.

Works great :-)
