removing rear wiper motor

Featured Replies

hey peeps!  :hi:

I have found out that the pipe leading to the right angled connector on my 2004 fabia 1.2 is leaking. I phone my local skoda dealer who informed me i can't get the connector seperate, and that a new wiper motor is needed at a cost of 118 quid! I have sourced a replacement from a scrap furby for 20 quid.

i noticed there are 3 bolts holding it on, but is it hard to get out without breaking back window when u bang it with a hammer?

how do I change the washer jet too?

thanks everyone

You need to remove the wiper arm too, which can often be seized on the spline.  I have a puller just for this scenario.

Once the arm is off, once those 3 bolts are undone and the electrical connector popped the motor essentially falls right out :D

The washer jet should be on the spline of the new motor and this will simply be there when you fit the new motor I think.  You might pop a little cap on the wiper arm on the spindle end I think?

Washer jet just pulls out.

Not sure about the rest. Why hammer involvement?

Crikey, don't hit it with a hammer unless you fancy a new back window.
