DSG and DTUK Pedal Box

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted a DTUK Pedal Box to their DSG VRS?, I am thinking of getting one but there seems to be some disagreement as to whether it is a good combination, some people say its great others that they had to take it off as there were compatibility issues.

Very interested in anyone's experiences

I fitted one last week but am not sure. I've got a "Trevor" tuning box to, I need to fine tune the settings before I decide if I'm keeping it. I've run it on Sport Plus / Plus 1 and it's just savage, a real pain in the Arse around town. It's up and down the first 3 gears like its on an acid trip which is a pain in traffic.

However, on an open road, it is pretty damn good, so I need to maybe back off the settings a bit, and try again.

I have one fitted to mine, works well.

I am still playing around with the different maps, map 1 gives great low down torque but is so easy to spin the wheels. Haven't really noticed much change in economy (based on brim to brim refills)

I am happy with it

Mine has the DSG, as do all Australian spec vrs tdi's do

I just posted then realised you were asking about the pedal box

Pedal box, not tuning box is what the OP is asking about :)

Hi

I have a pedal box (and CRD+T) on my vRS TDI, and I am very very pleased with them. Also, just to prove how happy I am with the pedal box, I have just fitted it to my Monte! Again very pleased, throttle response is great, but it lacks the power that I now have on my vRS! But it is just my day drive!

Steve

I have one on my TDI manual and it was the 2nd best purchase for the car - after the tuning box. It's not until you try removing it you realise how much difference it makes.

I did try one on my mk2 TDI vRS and if I had it at the same settings, the DSG would just keep kicking down in drive as it thought I was pressing the pedal further than I was (the whole idea of the box).

It will work fine but you won't be able to have it on the most agressiving settings, saying that I have been playing around for quite a while with my tuning box and pedal box settings to suit my liking.

Pedal box on setting 1 minus 2 -> CRD-t on map 3+1 is the sweet spot!

I have ordered a TSI DSG and it will be going on that along side a FSR+

The pedal box is very good at what it does but, drivers do need to learn how to use them.

In Sport+ +3 you can't mash the pedal into the floor without risking a EPC fault, the total opposite of what you want.
