Anyway, i managed to acquire a mk1 Octavia VRS with 1 owner and 52534 on the clock last week for £2.8k, maybe a little high but who cares. I never had a skoda before. When in Ireland for a funeral i hired a skoda superb 2015 model 1.6T. I also tried my cousins Octavia. From then i only looked for an octavia. I love what i bought. Now life goes on

Can anyone help me in my quest to find a full black grille including the chrome surround, im not happy with the chrome

most people who change the chrome just plastidip spra the existing one - cheap quick and easily undoable

Thanks too Mac11, I saw somewhere about about course sandpapering then smooth sandpapering, also primering and spray painting. This all sounds too intricate

for a clumsy oaf like me    . I thought there might be somewhere that sells them as a standard change part.
