Combi 2016 L&K TSI 180 DSG7 ordered

Featured Replies

I am also thinking of a TSI DSG 180, but can also become TSI 220 TSI or diesel that I've driven in a long time, and then it becomes TDI 190ps

A very difficult choice this, but know that it becomes an L & K hatchback Silver Metallic

Very nice to see several from Sweden here  :sun:

Still dreaming as no build or delivery dates.

Here is a GoPro view of a drive in a L&K 280 Combi with panoramic sunroof somewhere on a winding road in Germany. Looks like Magnetic Brown Metallic and Brown leather upholstery with beige headlining.

This very tall driver puts this automatic into manual and users the DSG paddles during this 5 minute drive.

Very first delivery update from our dealer - "The car has not been locked in the factory yet, but I keep a daily track of the status and promise to give you an update as soon as I know anything more !" - I guess another 8 weeks of silence to follow.

I suppose here in Sweden Skoda does not keep their dealers so updated as you guys in the UK. Oh well, patience!

At last. Received an email this afternoon confirming that our car has a fixed build week. It will be week 9. Here in Sweden it is now the end of week 7 so hopefully not long now. Was promised 12-16 weeks from our order the 27th November.

At 6 o´clock (Swedish time) this evening we received some great news from our dealer. Not only has our new car been produced it has also left the factory. That´s 12 days after they confirmed that the car was to be built week 9. Spot on and we are now at around 13 weeks from when we placed our order.

The salesman had not received any specific date on when it will be in Sweden but he did give us information about our new plates - the vehicle registration number . Very excited to hear from him again.

Jolly exciting indeed. Please do share some pictures once the car is with you :)

Enjoy it.

Very happy to say that our new car has finally arrived at the dealers. The salesman has been trying to call me all afternoon but I just couldn´t take his call due to work. So, at 17:40 (Swedish time) he sent me an email which I just read. Will call him tomorrow morning to discuss delivery. I think because of the Easter weekend we are looking at picking up next week.

Car ordered 27th November and arrives at the dealer at a little over 16 weeks later. So not too bad really since we were told originally 12-16 weeks.

Time for an update after speaking to the salesman earlier today.

He was very happy that our car had arrived and wanted to know when we would like to pick it up. Subduing the urge to reply today I reminded him that prior to delivery we are going to have the paintwork and interior "protected". Plus we wanted him to order the reversible boot mat and also the rear mud flaps. Both of these to be added to our car before delivery.

Cost for mat 1000 SEK, approximately £85

Cost for rear mud flaps 500 SEK, approximately £42 (including fitting).

The car treatment that we have decided on is something that we have used many times on the cars we have owned in the past and are very happy with the company and the finish. As in the UK, here in Sweden there are a number of different companies doing this type of work. I have tried two of them and my personal preference is with a company called Mr. Cap http://www.mrcap.com .

On Tuesday of next week our car therefore will be delivered to Mr. Cap where it will be treated to their "MasterTreatment", "LeatherCare" and "GlassShield" program. Not cheap but well worth it imho.

Once all the above has been fixed we hope to be able to pick up our new car on Friday. Waiting a little longer than necessary so that we can drive out with summer tyres. We have a law in Sweden that says winter tyres have to be used until the 31st March. There is always the risk over here that even after the 31st March winter strikes back but I´m looking forward to a Superb spring. (I did it again.)

Even if iPhone photos will not show the beauty of all of this I will post photos as soon as I can.

No front mudflaps to protect the paintwork?

No front mudflaps to protect the paintwork?

They are standard here in Sweden. But you never know!!

Front mud flats are not standard for S3 in Sweden. At least from my car.

As I said you never know. I based my assumption on a query I made with our salesman shortly after we placed our order. My question was "does the car have mud flaps? The L&K in the showroom had flaps in the front but not at the rear." His answer was "the car has front mud flaps as standard but not rear." This was when we then discussed about cost of installing them prior to delivery.

Our present S2 is also set up in that way. Front mud flaps but none in the rear.

So for Sweden probably the S3 L&K is set up as answered. liqwid78 out of interest what model are you driving?

Who knows I might be in for a shock on Friday!

Here you can check some photos of the L&K we looked at in the showroom http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/380010-lk-4x4-jungle-green/?p=4453322

Hi SSC,

I have a Style. It may be standard for L&K or the dealer just ordered as extra for the show Room car.

Soon you will know ☺

Yes, end of the week and all will be revealed. Hopefully I am not in for a disappointment. I can always refer to the email conversation that I had with the salesman if things turn out not quite as expected.

In the process now of writing a short checklist of things to go through with him when we pick the car up.

Appointment made for 4 pm tomorrow but we couldn't wait to have a quick look so we drove past the dealers earlier this evening. What a sight sitting there in the special area of the showroom reserved for new deliveries. Really looking forward to the handover.

What a great experience. After waiting 17 weeks we finely drove our new car out of the dealers showroom yesterday. Our appointment was at 4pm but we arrived at about 15 minutes past.

First the formalities. We were selling our S2 to the dealer so the salesman had to first check that all was in order with that. We have had her since September 2010 and driven 76 773 km (approx. 47 700 miles). No problems during all those years. There was in fact a small feeling of sadness.

But not for long as we soon moved onto the paperwork for our new car. Everything was in order so it was then time to have a closer look.

Möller Bil have been exceptional during the whole sales and delivery process and to cap it off a sign welcoming us and an unveiling.

The next 30 to 40 minutes the salesman showed us around the car and explained in fair detail many of the functions. Just too many to grasp in this short time. I guess that is part of the fun and also joy of finding things out for yourself once you have driven out of the showroom.

This was not the first time we have driven a new car out of a showroom but it was definitely the best experience that we have so far enjoyed. This time round though we had decided to let out oldest daughter have the privilege. Her first comment after she drove out of the showroom and stepped out of the car was how smooth and easy it felt to drive.

As part of our agreement the salesman had promised to deliver the car with a full tank of petrol. Not wanting to get the car dirty prior to handing it over he said he would do this once we had driven out of the showroom and true to his word that is what he did. So our first drive with the car was to a nearby station and then back to the showroom. Our second drive was home. We will go for a longer drive later today.

Thanks. So far nothing to complain about. Took her for a longer drive yesterday. More silent than the S2 we had. The seats are better. And yes it does feel bigger inside. Much more luxurious too. Tested the lane assist. Strange feeling when you feel the car taking a curve all by itself (hands were completely off the wheel) at 100km/h. Promise I'll be less reckless in the future now I know it works.

At last a new day and more plans to take her out today.
