Aiming for 220bhp

Featured Replies

Enjoyed reading this thread.(So far)

Priceless info.

Fabooka you've probably mapped majority of the cars on here so you know what works well and what doesn't.

& like most people have said on here..it depends what you want from the car and how you're going to use it. That should determine what upgrades/mods to get.

Oh & stevobeavo..im eyeing up your turbo. [emoji102] Lol

A modded fabia is poor cruiser on motorways apart from Mpg and bit of grunt, once you drive a half decent saloon.

I do 400-500 miles per week in mine and prefer it to anything else of similar value. Cheap, simple, bumpy, clattery SMF (at idle), intake whooshes, good brakes, good handling.  I can afford something nice and boring for the job it does, but the little Fabia has something i just find perfect for me. Although, I may change my opinion once the GTB is fitted in a few weeks!

I would be interested to know what to look out for in order to benefit from these uprated pads on standard disks - make etc. ?

Basically look for competition pads. So ferodo ds2500, ebc yellow

I have ebc yellow pads and there pretty good when a bit of heat is in them. They do squeal a bit when cold. I am running taroxs though but im sure there good on standard brakes.

Currently running ebc yellow and have no squeal. But I did cover them in copy grease. That's on oem 312 discs.

I upgraded to 312's for brake pedal feel not for the power increase.

Guess this is a little topic now but....

Is it true the standard calipers and 312 calipers are exactly the same, it's just carriers that are different?

On the golf mk4 platform yes. But the fabia 288 uses different calipers so you need the whole setup.

Ah I see, just saved me some money then!

Thanks :)
