Out is still out if you held it central you woul veer off to the other side of the road , take it back and say you want a 4 wheel alignment doing on a hunters rig at their cost . If they have not got one take it somewhere where they have and charge them , these places check for free and only charge to alter , so if it's fine it's fine . Nearly straight is not straight and in an emergency stop in the rain it could make a difference , and to your tyre wear

Is it just the Steering Wheel you mean,

or Steering Wheel Column?

Is it the steering wheel with the Steering Lock on.

Or once the car is started and you move the car back and fore in a straight line by a few meters?

If the Steering wheel is Squint when on the Flat Driving Straight ahead, or the car pulls left then have the Skoda Dealership

have it put right, and if they can not do the alignment correctly, they can put it to the Audi Dealership

where they might have the Gear and some Idea.

Its the steering wheel column. It doesbt come out the dash straight, it is at a slight angle. For instance, if im sat in the seat then the badge would be in the middle of my chest but its towards the left.

The pictures ive put on arent great as its a bit dull.

Sorry never noticed in New Fabias.  Others will say if you have a faulty one or not.

Its what you get sometimes with Manufacturers that concentrate their efforts on designing and  building Left Hand Drive vehicles

and the Designers and Engineers first and foremost think on that,

then just have a minority of the vehicles that are going to be Right Hand Drive for those markets.

You can get odd ergonomics with Seating, pedals, controls and steering wheel.

........................

Sorry OT,

but this covers some good points IMO.

They say 'European',  they Mean European for Mainland Europe & Left Hand Drive obviously.

Yes thats what im getting at, just to know wether its "normal" on the right hand drives or should i take it back to see if it can be sorted. Be interesting to see if anyone elses is like it.

Yep - the steering wheel centre doesn't align with the centre of the instruments -- maybe your dashboard is crooked ?  ...  No .. joke ....

Mine's like that - and you know what - they're all like that.

In addition to some of what Goneoffskixxx says - the LHD to RHD part, there may be an element that might have to do with safety (that I read somewhere ! ).

When steering column is offset, it's less likely to come back directly into driver's chest - it will be more likely to swivel further - to the left in this case.

(in addition to the collapsibility built into modern steering columns to prevent driver being skewered)

I'd wager the LHDs probably do this too - irrespective of original design for engine layout.

I'd noticed this years and years ago in some car I had, don't remember which, but then noticed it in a lot of cars.

Some manufacturers camouflage it better than others.

Have seen motor tests (years ago, in the likes of Autocar, Motor, etc..) where a comment was made about how, in one particular car, the steering wheel was so off-line with the pedals - so

the driver had to swivel their body slightly, to hold steering wheel over here and press pedals over there !! - Well, there might have been an inch or two of off-centred-ness.

In others cars, the left side of the wheel is clearly, much closer to the dash than the other side of the wheel!

Sooooo -- I'd reckon your car is just fine and dandy.

Enjoy !

And sit at the left side of the seat.

yeah  mine is like that as well ,  didnt notice it til now ya fecker !

Perfect alignment on my LHD ;)

If you have not noticed this before, then have you ever noticed that some car steering wheels do not rotate at right angles to the column, what I mean is, the wheel might be at an angle of 45 degrees(for convenience)  fore<>aft and flat side<>side when straight ahead, but when you rotate it changes quite a bit, first noticed that on a Fiesta wife had, it was usually parked with a bit of steering lock "on", when I looked out an upstairs window down at it, it looked wrong!  Wording there leaves space for improvement!!

Edit:- the comments about offset pedals is a bit close to the truth for me - my Audi S4 Man Trans has that issue, another reason for Audi wanting to bin Man Trans for RHD!!  Plus no space for foot rest, love that car though!
