You sure? Any info to show this is the case

If the difference between remap and dtuk box is enough for you to justify i'd go remap everytime.

While the DTUK box I have on my Ibiza is an improvement over stanadrd it's got too many small issues and isn't perfect enough for me to warrant ever paying full price for one.

Second hand one at £200-250 though id be tempted to get one for the wife's A3 too...

have a read of this thread

Have messaged Shark and they can do -30% discount on a group buy but need 10 people to make it worth while,i think thats a very good offer but for this month the 25% stands for individuals is still excellent on its own

Remap every time over a DTUK box.

Tried one on the Yeti... wasn’t impressed with the fuel consumption... it drank the fuel on a 200 mile 70mph on cc trip, removed the box for the return leg and the consumption was back to normal again.

Is the 25% including the 10% Freedom discount or on top?

Have they announced this discount anywhere?

The 170cr software from revo is excellent, I've driven a few with it installed. Some people I've spoken to regard it as the best software for this particular application.

Gizmo, no idea mate

Yep Shark are offering 25% off until end of January, now just need to know, who's had there Skoda mk3 2.0TSI petrol DSG mapped by them & what's your thoughts?

Going for the shark map now for Definate

Just noticed Revo have 25% discount if you go to their stand at Autosports this weekend.  Not sure if its any use...

Told yer lol;)

Had one on my petrol vrs for 18 months, driven briskly. No issues at all apart from slipping clutch but that's hardly a criticism of the map. Smooth as you'd like. Highly recommended.

Hi all, first post on this forum so hello to everyone, it's good to be here!

I had thought of buying a dtuk box for my cr170 too, has anyone had one on this model? I'm interested to here of how people found it.

I had a map on my Fabia vrs 1 and it was epic! Car was so much fun to drive but it was time to grow up a bit so I upgraded to the Octavia cr170 vrs. It's a brilliant car but feels like it needs to be a bit more punchy at times. would be interesting to hear if anyone has had a dtuk box on this model.

Thanks, Pete

Welcome Pete

Yes SWMBO’s Yeti has the CR170 engine which is the car we tried the DTUK box on (and subsequently removed because of over fuelling)

Thanks for the welcome.

If you tried changing the settings on the box did you see any improvement? Also, when you removed the box did the car return to normal without issue?

Thanks, Pete

The power delivery changed but not the

Once removed the economy returned immediately.

After Shark remapped it the economy improved slightly as well!

Cheers for all the info mate, very useful to know. Pete

I have a dtuk box on my 170 cr Vrs get more power and had 10mpg more on motorway run.

Got it second hand for £200 IIRC

Liked it so much that we got one for my Mrs fr Ibiza and it made a huge difference

Yes a quality remap is probably better but will be wiped when/if you go for the emissions recall and you can't sell your remap should you decide to get a new car

in my experience, the car's fuel consumption computer will need recalibration when a dtuk box is fitted. Otherwise, overly optimist figures will be recorded. Somewhere in the region of 12% or so, if memory serves.

No such discrepancies with my subsequent Shark remap.

JaminWales. Did you notice good gains in power on your vrs? You think it added 30-40bhp like it claims it will? Thanks Pete

Yes felt it went a lot better, 30bhp or so 'feels' about right

Ask about if anyone local has one, I'm in South Wales
