Rear Bumper protecter ... Fitted yet ?

Featured Replies

I don't have that one I have the bigger one with ridges on it. I don't have the car yet but I remember someone with a petrol blue combined posting some pics with my type fitted with mud flaps as well. Can't remember where though!

Yeah had one with ridges on my Scout... Wasn't sure it suited the Superb though... I guess I'll just stick it on and see !

Now with added bling!

Don't know if it worked but here's the one I meant.

The proper skoda ones always seem to cover very little of the bumper, not much good if you want it for the protection.

I've had a couple from rearguards, which provide more protection.

I put the SuperSkoda one on my Superb 2 Combi, looked nice & was very effective. That car was silver so Chrome suited it. My new one is white & im not sure the ones above will suit a white car. Ive ordered the 'Matt RS style' ones blind as there was 20% off but there are no pictures on the SS site. Hopefully it will suit it. I'll post pics if I fit it.

I've just ordered the V3 (ribbed) version from Superskoda as I like the reflections on the tailgate in the pictures. Should make a nice contrast to the Quartz Grey paintwork.

Price is good, especially with 20% discount, and the exchange rate from Paypal seems very good @ £ = 1.28367 Euros.

Total price including delivery was £35.84.

I have ordered the transparrent one to be fitted on my new Combi. Have it on my SII Combi and it works fine. Don't lile the look of the metal ones.

Any chance of a piccy when fitted, ordered V3 version yesterday to go on my Quartz Grey SE. L but I won't get the car for 3 or 4 weeks yet?

Big dog (OES) and sharp toe nails, would have liked the transparent but was concerned that she might cut the plastic and scratch the bumper, so I've had to stick to the metallic one.

Sure rafmike happy to oblige.

Item has been despatched so shouldn't be too long arriving but the weather may delay fitting.

The weather will delay unless you can do it a warmer garage area. I have the same one but have no car yet. Having a quick read states it needs to be above a certain remp to fit because of the adhesive strips I presume and condensation etc. Preventing adhesion.

Animals and smoking in cars are two big 'no-go's' in my opinion, so that's not an issue here :-)

Mine is purely for the tools and gear that go in and out of the boot on a daily basis.

I've opted for the V3 RS6 matte effect protector as the shiny one is a little too 'bling' for me. Might be a little too shiny against Petrol Blue - IMO of course.

There's a picture on the site of the MkIII Octavia protector in brushed matte as a reference. Looks good.

Opinions Please?? Still not sure but think practicality wins out!

I think with all the chrome around the car it blends in fine.

Looks to 'aftermaket' for me.

Ordered mine 10/01/16

Despatched    11/01/16

Received today 15/01/16

Really good quality and fast delivery from the Czech Republic. Just waiting for warmer weather before fitting.

This is the one I have purchased from Superskoda. Still not fitted.... I think the ridged type I had on the Scout suited it and I think personally that the nice shiny smooth one compliments the bling on the superb ... No dogs etc so doesn't have to be bomb proof ...

Think it will suit the red as well ...

Is that the V3 matte bumper strip?

If so, that's the one that's winging its way over to me with a few other goodies from Superskoda.

Should work well with Petrol blue.

That aside, I think it looks ok.

Yeah, that's the one. Think im gonna stick with it, better than a scuff I suppose!

Too true. My bumpers always get bruised and battered due to vacuum pumps, refrigerant cylinders and such like being hauled in and out of the car. I've got a black protector on mine at the moment and it has taken a battering.

Thanks Nick, for posting the picture & letting SWMBO see it.

We've been wondering what a bright red Superb Wagon looks like............
