How to disable the ESP system.

Featured Replies

Hi

Just heard it is possible to disable the ESP system on Citigo. Here is how to do it.

Proceed at your own risk, ESP is a safety system, it will be more difficult to control the car without ESP!!!

Turn the ignition on.

Activate hazard lights.

Fully depress the accelerator 5 times.

ESP warning light should now come on.

Start the car before switching the hazards off.

To enable the ESP after having fun in the snow, simply switch the engine off and restart.

I tested this on my own 60hp Active Greenline, worked but unfortunately the snow is gone now......

Cheers

Thanks for sharing. I've noticed that Citigo's ESP works so well that you can keep it on and still have fun in the snow. ;-)

he, I'm not even sure it works anyway...Seems its possible to disable it, but as soon as the car is moving, it turns itself on again. I'll investigate further.

I'm sorry for posting this. It may be a program for use when on a rolling road. This does not disable the ESP.
