SubWoofer?

Featured Replies

Does the standard vRS FL have a small sub hidden somewhere? Whilst it's hardly audiophile grade sound, the bass on the OEM setup is the best of the cars I've owned before.  Is it just decent OEM woofers, or is there a small passive sub hidden away somewhere too?

I thought the same. It still amazes me now how good the stereo is for a standard unit.

No luck in finding a sub yet though haha.

no sub. I think the oem system had the rear speakers crossed over slightly lower than the fronts meaning you think you are getting more bass from behind you

The skoda standard system is the bests I've had too. The bass does go down low. The cones are a decent size, the Bolero head units seem to be reasonably well powered.

There are no crossovers as far as I'm aware just a full range direct connection to the main speakers and capacitor in line with the tweeter to prevent it being burned out by LF, which is pretty normal on a standard equipment set up.

I mean built into the headunits software. It can still be allow lower freq's to go to the rear 5.25" mids than the 6.5" mids at the front. Possibly making the rear mids more like midbass drivers
