New vRS, new to Skoda

Evening all.

Yesterday I confirmed an order for this Skoda Octavia vRS Estate 2.0 TDI

+ DSG box
+ Race Blue metallic
+ Black with grey stitching on seats
+ Adaptive Cruise Control
+ SmartLink
+ Colour Maxi-Dot computer

Never had a Skoda before, currently in a Toyota Verso, but very impressed with the test drive I had a couple of weeks ago.

10 weeks to wait apparently! I never was good with waiting...

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help

Hello everyone I decided to update my 2014 Skoda Octavia to a newer age. First changed the MIB1 to MIB2, and then decided to add a rear view camera (there are other projects on the way like MFK1 to MFK2). I want to tell the story so someone else does not make the same mistakes I did. My Skoda never had a camera, so I bought one from a scrapyard, a 3V0827566N without the wiring harness, it scrapped with the body. Prepping to do 2.0TSi clutch in future - plenty of time and opportunity as I mentioned recently I have a 1.8T L&K Octy also ! I'd seen a comment at some point someone recommending to change rear main seal whilst you are in there. Something to watch for? Also as below

One of the scourges of Greek roads are abandoned motorcycles.
