One of the first things i do with most of the cars i've had is change the old yellow aged looking bulbs for LEDs so a bit more modern and cleaner looking.

Cree LEDs seem to be the brightest so far i've found but can't fit them everywhere yet.

A little bit more done today.
Rained virtually every day i've been off work so hard to get motivated

Still needing a wash, clay, polish & wax badly

FB_IMG_1455824611798_zpsjmuamyyy.jpg

I used these for the door lights. More or less the same as standard bulbs though brightness wise

20160212_222243_zpskg0llk86.jpg

I used one of these for the boot light and much better than standard

20160213_200245_zpsdmmfza2a.jpg

Cree reverse lights

20160212_222401_zpsnmagabpn.jpg

Standard vs Cree. Cree is much brighter at night along with pressed plates & new number plate surround
I know, it needs a wash

Osram cree sidelights. Whitest and best quality i've used so far

Thank's man. It's a daily driver so nothing too extreme.
I might need to raise it slightly as it's scrubbing on the front and camber is making it eat the inside of the tyres.

Standard PD130 turbo as far as i know. It's sounding a bit tired though.
Yeah, Jabbasport remap on it. Not sure on power but was told around 180bhp.

Seem to be getting a bit of a collection going here now....

20160219_170959_zpsbbft8cxt.jpg

Quick picture of the front mount as well.
A nice change from the usual Seat Sport design. Looks almost OEM and sits straight. Could do with a nice polish

Going to pop up thread shortly but sounds like my turbo is a bit worse for wear.
Hard to hear over the diesel chatter, but between 1000 and 2000rpm i have a bit of a howl / police siren style noise rather than a healthy whistle.

Shame if it is the turbo, but pushing 180bhp through it meant it wasn't going to last long lol.

If you take the turbo inlet pipe off, you can see the condition of the compressor wheel with a camera phone. Only takes 20 mins or so.

Decided to give the headlights a little restoration with the Autoglym kit.

Near side one is unpolished in these pictures and off side is.

Sealed with some Collinite 476 after.

Can't wait until i get a dry day to do some proper cleaning & polishing on the rest of the car.
Not sure what's happened here though. Someone trying to clean the bumper with a wire brush?
Might need a machine polish to see if that will sort it. If not, then painted no doubt.

Got round to serving it over the weekend as well.

Air filter
Pollen filter
Oil filter
Oil
Diesel fuel filter.

Got all the parts from TPS.

Tried to adjust the coilovers a swell to raise them but one of the fronts is stuck solid. No corrosion really as it's stainless body but needs a good clean & spray with penetrating oil.
Heaters are so much better now with how much air comes out after replying the pollen filter.
Not surprised given how dirty it was

looks good, those seats are lovely, more character compared to the SE seats, your turbo makes the exact same noise as mine, i have a feeling the previous owner liked to give it some abuse, gonna be changing the turbo soon on mine for peace of mind

I've found some paperwork that suggests it's a hybrid fitted on the car back from 2007. If it is, it's been remapped on that same hybrid for approx 9 years and 100k miles so it's done well!
Looking at replacements also after a few other issues are sorted.

The Seats were one of the reasons for getting it. Always liked the vRS but hated the white cloth seats as standard. Had an Ibiza FR TDi at the time i bought this as well but this had a lot more mods done to it.

There's not been a huge amount going on with this recently apart from driving it but thought i'd share a few small updates & pictures.

On a fun back road whilst going hill walking at the end of April

New JVC head unit fitted with Bluetooth & hands free. Cheap but cheerful.
White during the day and green at night to match the rest of the lights.

Because the car is so low the camber is a bit extreme with the tyre wear. I need to raise it up a significant amount but one of the Eibach Coilovers on the front is a bit reluctant to let me adjust it.
Been giving it a bath in plus gas and working it back and forth a bit to try and help.

Bought some part worns for the front the other day and one must have been really old rubber as it's split and haven't hit any pot holes. Looks rotted a little around one of the splits.

Split my trusty "alloy friendly" 17mm deep socket as well.

20160621_172149_zpsjqglrowo.jpg

Swapped out the ash tray as well for a cup holder.

It's booked in to have the windows tinted on Friday as well. It might not look as nice with the tints but they're practical as well for keeping it cool in the hot weather and a bit more privacy if i have my RC models or anything semi expensive in the back with the seats down.
Next month it's booked in for a custom freeflow 2.5" downpipe to make to the Miltek cat back system.

I put the tape around the socket to stop it scratching the alloy wheels, but didn't seem to do much for keeping it from splitting.
It's had a hard life to be fair.

Aye, that's the cup holder above i bought. I seen it somewhere online that sells Skoda parts and i think it was cheaper but heard delivery was ages.
