Phone box

Featured Replies

Disappointed that the phone box is too small for larger handsets such as my iPhone 6+. Also, I could theoretically put it on the lid, but if the USB cable is plugged in, then the lip stops it fitting. Think I'll have to make a cradle.

I can't answer for the 6+ as I have the 6S, but regarding the USB, and I hope I've understood you correctly,  I have an Anker 12" USB-Lightning cable and I can close the cover without any fouling.

I opted for the 12" lead as otherwise there was just too much loose cabling to tuck out of the way.

I'm sure I managed to put my wife 6+ completely into the phonebox ????

My Nexus 6 fits into that box - and there aren't many bigger phones around. Though I was stupid enough to pay £23 for a Skoda right-angled micro-USB cable which stops the lid from closing - I should have opted for the one for £2 from fleabay :)

Well, yes, if there's no lightning connector in it and it's not in a case.

I have a kind of wallet that I have my phone in, and that's just too fat.

So I'm currently putting the phone in the centre console box and having the usb cable trapped in the soft-close mechanism of the phone box. Will have to get another phone/camera to illustrate!

My iPhone 6+ fits in the phone box fine ????

My Galaxy s6+ with S-View case only just fits in. I also had to buy the rip off Skoda USB to micro cable for £23 because it has a right angle micro connector which allows the phone to still squeeze into the phonebox but the standard USB side stops the cover from closing when I'm charging. The cover can close when it's just the phone though and I'd also forget the phone if I close the cover so I don't mind too much.

However, I think the iPhone 6+ is a bit bigger than the s6+ so I can imagine if certain cases are used it won't fit.

Mine too (fitted with an Otterbox case too.

OK if you have a lightning connector attached the cable sticks out of the box... but the lid still closes over the top.

I'm happy with the phone on top of the box lid, as the infotainment system isn't really a 100% replacement - eg if I want to search for something on Spotify.

you can set a reminder to take the Phone with you. Displayed when you switch off

Phone Box??? Is this something else I still have to discover?
