I ordered my Superb l&k in early Dec and was originally quoted end Jan for delivery. But the date keeps getting pushed out, latest is week 39. Skoda Ireland are claiming that's it's all down to the fact that I'm looking for Beige leather. Are people getting delivery of Superbs with beige leather, or is everyone getting the same message?

Eight weeks delivery for your model was never going to happen in that time frame let alone allowing for Christmas.

I ordered a 190 dsg l&k early January and was told I could only have black or brown . Beige was a no go altogether. I nearly left the show room and went elsewhere but I really liked the car I was told car was build week 8 about 3 weeks after ordering and delivery in March so here is hoping, if they come back and say delivery later than mid April I will be asking for my deposit back and go else where. See maybe if you change to brown if you can get it sooner

We were told after a month or so of placing our order for an SE L Exec that we couldn't have beige leather any longer and would have to have black.

Several other on here have been told the same.

I wonder, does the shortage of beige apply to ventilated seats as well? may be worth checking.

Back in November when we placed our order for a L&K we originally were looking at the beige seating. During our discussion with the salesperson we got the impression that there were long delays if we were to go with this colour seating. He didn´t mention that straight away rather used the argument of beige seating being easily scuffed, etc.

 

Anyway, after checking out the Natural Brown leather under different lighting we decided for that and added ventilated to it.

 

Lead time that we were given: 12-16 weeks. I guess beige would have been 20+

 

Interestingly 12-16 weeks was the time given even before we started looking in detail at what we wanted. He just kept making small subtle remarks to longer times if we started showing interesting in things that he knew would take longer than 12-16 weeks.

Do you mean the dealer told you it would be week 8 before you ordered, or that's been confirmed afterwards? If you ordered week 1/2 I would be amazed if an L&K woukd arrive that quick, unless you were lucky enough to get a cancellation that is already locked into the system.

That does seem very quick. I ordered an L&K at the end of January (with brown leather) and have been quoted build week 21.

Blimey.... do you have your order number? I'd recommend that you call Skoda customer services and they will be able to give you full update- just in case the dealer is...confused...!

I'd heard that the beige leather was in short supply. If its not reinstated at some time, it's going to make my Rosso Brunello L&K with beige leather a very rare car. Not that I intend selling it any time soon!

from point of order he declared 8 weeks and gave a build date of week 1 5 weeks after order

Sorry but 8 weeks is never going to happen... unless you take over a cancelled order.

 

Even before the cars were officially launched I don’t think anyone got them that quick (mine was ordered a few days before the launch and took 12 weeks)

I think you were right originally with it being an L&K? The standard Alloys on the Style are 17" & you can upgrade to 18" or 19"

In the L&K you can have either 18" or 19" with Anthracite ("Black") You can't get these on any other Trim including Style. Maybe check with your dealer again to see what you are ordering?

Ordered mine in the middle of September and got in in 10 weeks, so it can be quite quick.

Some dealers ordered cars in advance to their stock. So if the car fit's the dealer order it can be little modified and the car can be done very quickly.

Agree with you on the wheels. I'll be doing the same if I decide to order later in the year. The 19s look fantastic but just not practical here.

To the people ordering beige: are the seats ventilated or non ventilated? I ordered mine (with ventilated seats) at the very end of December and clapped eyes on it today  :|
