Does anyone know whether the bulb in the HID Bi-xenon headlights are D1S or D2S?

Also do headlight units pop out the same way as on the Octavia?

Depends on the car. I'm guessing you are referring to a new Superb?  Mk3 Octavia and Superb use D3S mercury free xenon lamps with an integrated ballast/ignitor. Mk2 Pre FL Octavias and Mk2 Pre FL Superbs use D1S xenon lamps. 

 

I don't know about access to the Mk3. I haven't got mine yet! The FL Superb is a bit of a pig and ideally needs the bumper removed to get proper access. 

 

If no one else has looked, I'll take a look on March 1st when I collect mine. 

I can't comment on the headlamp removal, however my EPC at work shows the OE number as N 107 218 06  Which looks like it is a D3S bulb like these
