Just wondering whether there is anyway of checking whether the NCD supplying dealer has placed my ordered with Skoda?

As it was explained to me NCD order direct from Skoda. When the car arrives they send it to a dealer to prepare it for delivery. No idea if that is what really happens of course

They should be able to give you an order number, which you can then use to check progress with skoda customer services

Isn't the SLI number the same as the Order number?

I asked my dealer for the SLI number (by email) and he sent me what he called an Order Number...an 8 digit number.

I believe the sli number is the one issued by the factory when they know that they have it in their own system for production.
