A fuel cell car from Wales

Featured Replies

Saw this article yesterday and I thought too slow, too small and too late. Honda, Toyota and I think Kia have already built hydrogen cars.

Quote: "Riversimple claims the cost of a subscription will be similar to ownership costs for a "new family-sized hatchback."

So, why would I "not lease" one of these tiny, slow, expensive and limited range cars instead of a proper family-sized hatchback?

Beats me also.

If you're into conspiracies, maybe it's a sign.

Because its made in wales and not japan or germany? If we do not back these home grown companies and engineers we will never get our manufacturing industries back to a healthy position, spend your hard earned at home so in the future we may again have a viable motor car industry

Who would invest their 'hard earned' in an auto manufacturer?.

I can't think of one rated as investment grade that's not already fully priced.

Investment as in purchase

The problem isn't the technology, and the price will come down with volume production like any other technology. The problem is getting the fuel companies to roll out the filling stations.

Give me a Golf GTE or D anyday rather than that. It looks like something my cat threw up this morning.

Much prefer this Welsh car -

Nearly bought one last month!! V6 Essex manual with overdrive and full service and MOT history, but not at £7k. Too steep for me.

Re the Riverside,

I'm just waiting for my invite to go to the factory and test one and have put my name down for the long term test.

I'm ignoring the usual "no idea" commentators on here!

Was one on something like the COAST TV program in the Shetlands/Orkneys a good while back.
