Right side foot rest pedal.

Featured Replies

Superskoda sell a footrest to rest your right foot on whist travelling in CC (100 miles keep your foot busy). However, they sell it for the Octy111, I asked them today if it would fit the Superb111 but they say that as they do not have a manual S111 RHD to try it on they cannot say yes or no. Has anyone a) moved one from an Octy to an S111 or B) bought one especially for use in an S111? and, of course, was it a success?

I could do with a stainless foot rest to match my pedals so if anyone years of a DSG version please let me know !! .... Sorry for the slight hijack Mike !

Try the search facility Nick, I'm sure that someone with the forum name burial something got one from Superskoda although it was in the Octavia 3 parts area as a left footrest cover.

Sorry Mike, I cannot shed any light on your question.

Yep I've seen a member with it on his UK manual.

I just don't know if the Superskoda one will fit a UK automatic!

Thanks Dilz. Mike

Quite disappointed they removed the feature - my MK II VRS has a footrest either side of the pedals - neither the new Octavia or Superb have one on the right... :dull:

Most of my journeys are 3 hours + so it does affect comfort.

Bad Skoda... Very bad Skoda!!!

so a quick update (and some pics)

i ordered up the pedal set for my dsg (RHD) from superskoda, and the RHD chrome footrest for the octavia III (also superskoda)

the chrome one is slightly narrower, but fits just fine.

here it is side by side with stock

and installed

I assume the O3 one pictured above is for a manual car?

Was just popping in to say that yes, the superskoda SIII Sportline footrest does fit the auto, but it seems I'm 2 and a half years too late!

I have to say it was a bit of a squeeze to fit it, but it's on OK

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but if I understand this right - u remove the old one by unscrewing the side screw and popping it upwards, then replace with new footrest pedal?

Yep, very easy job. Took me about 4/5 minutes total.

I have this installed - the only snag was that the screw - seen in the pic above - was too small for the retro fitted chrome replacement.

I still have it in place - it slots in at the bottom and does not move. Did anyone source a longer screw?

FG

The one in the pics and links above r designed for manual transmissions, hence it's skinny.

I'll b getting one of these ones, designed for dsg cars.

I ordered the aluminium pedal covers from super Skoda, along with the rhd foot rest they sell which I think is listed for manual cars.

Pedals fitted after a bit of a battle - the accelerator is a tight fit.

As others have done:

I removed the standard black foot rest and soon realised that the one I’d ordered wasn’t a proper fit, I got it in position and put the screw back in but the hole didn’t line up. The screw went through the foot rest and hit hard plastic about an inch from the original hole, so I just screwed it into the plastic and now it’s solid. It looks and feels original, just a tad thinner than the old one but it doesn’t make a difference.

I will get a photo when I nip out for the apocalypse supply run.

Did you make it out of the supermarket alive and are you still able to get some photos or are you now wrapped head to toe in toilet roll, awaiting zombie armageddon?

I'm intrigued by this thread as the right hand foot rest is one of the few things I miss from my old Octy but the pictures posted above look like they are of the left side footrest, not the right side.

i've ordered a set of the ones i pictured earier - awaiting the long shipping timeframes from China now 😞

will update this post again once i've got it and installed it.

Likewise.... I would consider installing an accelerator pedal side footrest if one was available.  I sometimes use the small lip in the trim just to the right hand side of the accelerator pedal but it's not ideal.  Someone in the thread did mention a footrest but it hadn't been checked to see it it fit the Superb iii.

Yeah, I've tried using that small lip as well, doesn't work! Unfortunately, there is very little room there. When I first got the car, I tried to fashion a bit of carboard to act like a foot rest but it kept falling off which is obviously not sensible, in fact it was downright dangerous.

Will await confirmation from @drewellis to see if he got something that fits.

I'm alive and well but have only just read your post (properly). I assumed you meant RHD foot rest 😞

There's not much room for a right-foot-rest so hadn't considered this even existed!

Sorry to disappoint

No worries, there is indeed very little room but probably just enough for a properly shaped rest to fit.

It's about the only thing I miss from my MKII Octy.

Don't understand why they've shoved the pedals so close to the side, my wife's 2015 Golf has a foot rest to the right of the throttle.

My pedals finally arrived today.

Perfect fit. Looks good.

The foot rest took a couple of goes to align, but it sits perfectly once in place.

Brake pedal was a breeze, less than 30 secs to remove the old n put the new in.

As experienced by many, the accelerator pedal was a pain in zee a5z to fit - took me a good 10 mins of fiddling with different approach angles!!

They look great. Do you have a link to the product?

Ignore me - I’ve found them!
