Is there a 12v socket in the boot on a combi ?  (more so a SE Business)

Thanks in advance.

I thought that they all had a 12v outlet in the boot.

I would be extremely surprised if they didn't as the previous model does have. (There was 2 in my Passat)

Yes, on the offside of the boot, by the curry hook

So let's say I have a coolbox in the boot when we go away and leave the car over night.. (there will be plenty of ice packs in) will this stay live for around 30 mins till all the modules shutdown or will it run continuous until the battery managment (IBS )detects a drain and shuts it down? (that's if the S3 can do that !)

Its as permanent as permanent gets. My cool box pulls nearly 6 amps, Its not worth leaving it plugged in when the car isn't running as it will only take a couple of hours, maybe longer, before it drains enough from the battery to stop the car from starting.

I've seen on some of the reviews that the centre console has a full standard euro power socket as well as 12v- is this L&K only? And does the UK one also have this, or a UK plug?

I've read that it's not available in UK (and also not available anymore in Europe due to lead-times). But someone here should be able to check in their cars.

The plug was only ever an option in the left hookers I thought.

Shame as it would of been a great little add in.

Which reminds me.. Is there a 12v socket in the rear centre console ?

230V two-pin socket has never been offered in the UK as it is non-compliant with our wiring requirements. It needed to have a 3-pin UK socket instead.

Yes, in the ashtray. There's a digital clock too which surprised me.

As you have tri zone climate.

I saw in a review that euro version has 12v, 220v and a USB in the rear center.

What can that usb socket do? Is charging only or?

I think it was for charge only in replacement of the 12v old type socket.

Would of been good to get a UK 3 pin plug, or even the EU on as i have loads of adapters from EU to UK

EU version had this 230v power outlet in rear centre console. Specially here it was standard for STYLE (the last level of equipment before L&K) Somewhere around November it was removed from equipment, but yet possible to be added with PKL - Fond package. The socket connection is Europlug 220px-Euro-Flachstecker_2.jpg so definitely not much useful in UK.

The USB socket in the console is for charging afaik.

Edit:

I think it look like that X6Mm7iS.png

The top is tri-zone with the clock and lower is a flip cover hiding USB/12v/230V
