16th May 2016 (Monday) - Bedford GT - £135 full track day

I am not sure if the places have just all been booked in Richard's name or in the individuals names, but I can't see why once funds have been transferred, the place cannot be too.  I have had to this before fairly close to an event.

its all sorted, Richard is switching the details, the new Yeti is going to Shark next Wed so will be ready for Bedford :)

Yep all sorted. Gutted to be missing it but best to sort my health out and then book onto another one later in the year. I still have the prem inn booked so may bring my camera and take some photos for the guys going out :)

If you need a lift / can't drive due to the op shout Andy you're only down the road so it's not an issue you can jump in with me.

Give us a shout when you book another track day later in the year I'll come along I'd like a passenger ride in the Stage 2 Fab :)

This is getting close now :D

Weather forecast suggests fairly ideal conditions on the day (long range though....) - dry, cloudy, about 14 / 15 degrees.

Good, How's the smog forecast looking for the back of your car? :D

Its "running" - that's about all I can tell you.  :D

Couple of questions:

1. Is there an additional charge for bringing a passenger?

2. Are most just heading over early on the morning or going the night before? It's about 3hrs from me and unsure wether to go for a really early start or head down the night before.

3. Do they have helmet hire on track? Lent mine to a friend and can't get it back with him being on holiday!!

Cheers guys, looking forward to a great day :)

Question 1) yes I think so, it's not a lot, £15? Someone will correct me shortly I'm sure

Question 2, try and stay the in the Premier Inn, it's the Marina hotel or something to that extent, their will be a couple of us staying there

Question 3, yes I think helmet hire is like £15, get on it quick as the helmets can go fast

I'm heading up on the morning but only a spectator, so looking at leaving @ 6 ish with a 2.5hr drive depending on how lazy I am

Heading down the night before and sleeping in the car somewhere. Is there a group going to meet somewhere for a meal or something? I'd like to join if possible. Then sleep in the car the night after and drive back in the morning.

Thanks everyone, last question I promise, am I allowed to bring two cars and split time between the two? Like to bring the Lotus and the Yeti :)

Why didn't you just book the £29 hotel... Sleeping in that tin can won't be pleasant

I don't think so, I believe you would have needed to book both cars on separately. So you can add more drivers for X car but not more cars for X driver.

I have a spare XL helmet I can bring.

It'll be fine, passenger seat reclines all the way back and I've never been that fussy about sleeping places. I'd rather buy a load of spray paint to respray the hotel. :D

Yes please that would be great :)

Heading down night before and staying at Premier Inn, checked with Richard who says we can switch the track sticker over after lunch and run the second car :)

I just told them to book whichever is nearest to the track? I'll text now and find which one they've booked for me :)

No worries.  I might need a reminder tomorrow, but I keep both helmets next to each other so shouldn't be too tough to put them both in the car tomorrow :D
