I always felt that my 83KW Yeti's breaks are not good enough. So decision made - let's upgrade to 312mm GTI size. However the half of the chassis needs to be changed as well as hubs/arms  a which can handle 312mm are 4 bolt mount instead of 3 on FSIII and do have 55mm mount for shocks instead of 50 on FSIII.

So what was ordered:

3) Hubs

6) ABS sensors (can be reused from FSIII)

7) Splash shields (can be reused)

8) Eibach Pro Kit springs http://eibach.com/m-america/en/performance-suspension/performance-springs/pro-kit

9) Used calipers  + rebuild kit.

 

As result superb breaking power and  way better handling 

 

How's the fuel economy?.

Do you get the discs & pads hot enough to make them work effectively with normal road driving?

This disks are normal steel disks. Pads designed for normal road usage, ceramic is to reduce dust and increase efficiency and do not require additional friction heating for this.

How's the fuel economy?.

 

Measuring now. set is not much heavier than what I had , but car is 3cm lower, so have to be better on motorways , but we will see.

Interesting. How much were the pads ?

I'm running EBC Yellows front & rear at the moment, but they will need changing before too long.

(By the way, they are brakes, not breaks )

If you are using an iPad, you need to check everything you write 3 times as it constantly changes words to those that you don't want. I now assume that typos and similar are down to the technology and not the author and just ignore them.

I will definitely be getting rid of the iPad and going to a (Windows) laptop.

I'm always blaming my iPad ......it's so convenient......

For me its even easier - I am Russian from Latvia , so English is my third (maybe even fifth ) language  

I do not really care what to blame ;-)
