Anyone compared sound of Milltek vs Blueflame??

Featured Replies

Before anyone asks, I've done a search and although I'm sure both sound very good, do they sound very similar!!??

I want to know from anyone who has either driven both or have been passengers!!

Which one has the better sound???? In your opinion that is!;)

What is the differences in sound, louder, deeper sounding??

Not too concerned with which is maybe more powerfull as I'm happy with power of my car at the mo.

I have a blueflame full system and have heard the miltek. very different sound. The miltek is low and burbly at tick over, with the low burbly sound getting louder and more frantic as the car accelerated. Very nice.

The blueflame sounds like nothing i've ever heard. Sounds normal at tickover/low revs, but open the throttle and it sounds like a giant turbine under load. Awsome sound. Not a boy racer sound, but a true performance exhaust sound. Noise at speeed is as original when cruising. If you go for the blueflame, and i suggest you do, you will become addicted to the noise.

Keeps these comments coming!!! Swaying towards Blueflame now!!

Come on Milltek fans??

BLUEFLAME!!!!

:D

I think tfboy (xav) has the miltek on his and it does sound rather tasty! Cant comment about the blueflame. Maybe Mr Shifty could post a sound clip of his blueflame and xav could post one like wise.

Just an idea of course ;)

im tempted to go and do a clip now, but really cant be bothered. maybe later in the week.

how loud are we talking looking at getting one

Awesome GTI are doing 10% off Millteks with free fitting for this month only which is why I want to make a decision soon!

Unlikely there is anyone in the North East with these exhausts fitted to a Furby vRS so it's probably gonna be word of mouth!

I wouldnt describe it as loud. More a distinctive erection provoking turbine howl. You can barely tell its on with all the trim in place and the windows up. But if you take the rear seats out, and wind the windows down, or let Colin G have a go, you can fully appreciate it. Gonna go make a video clip. Sound might be poo, but i'll do my best. Back soon. I'll put it on google video.

AmD are also offering free fitting just incase you didn't know ;) blueflame is also cheaper than the full miltek system IIRC

I used to put the seats down on my M3 so I could hear the exhaust note better!! Getting sad in my old age!:D

Your comments are very much appreciated Shifty! Are you sure you don't work for Bluelame!;)

I phoned them and they offered me no discount albeit with free fitting which is why I tried to latch onto the oneclick GB but Will had enough on his hands!:(

I have been offered very competitive quotes on both systems so decisions maybe made on this thread!

Come on Milltek fans!! Anyone here can vouch to say they prefer Milltek sound???

Not trying to start a war between owners but any comments would be greatly appreciated!

We need Xav

Another vote for Blueflame here.

The Blueflame system on Shifty's Fabia vRS sounds awesome

On an Octy vRS the Blueflame is also great - when giving it some beans it sounds superb :D

Just for info - I will very likley be organising a Full Milltek GB in the very near future with AMD.

Watch this space, free fitting plus a good discount - will post when i have details.

Since the 1 click was such a good deal - i've attanined a good rep at AMD and they are keen to exploit this as a means of increasig sales on Briskoda - the benefit to ius is

heard the milltek on the star furbie and it sounds almost like a V8 :D

Been a passenger in one with the Milltek (CheekyMonkey) and have heard the Blueflame, courtesy of a Shifty fly-by! :)

Milltek is definitely has more burble at tickover low speed, and has progressively more rumble and noise to it as the revs rise. A bit difficult to explain but I liked it

Shifty's certainly right about the turbine sound of the Blueflame, it's more high pitched than the Milltek and I thought it sounded like a WW2 fighter jet when I heard it! Both sound great IMO, just in different ways. Depends what you're after I suppose.

Don't know how, but hope this helps :D

Blueflame all the way, price, quality of construction ( been underneath to inspect it) an the sound.....well.....baiting gerry again.......

Don't work for them and I honestly though the customer serviced sucked, but the product is fantastic. Got clips, just getting the best ones to put on google video.

I've had the Milltek for a couple of months now but not heard the Blueflame.

It still brings a smile to my face everytime I turn the key. :D

Xav also has a bigger hybrid turbo which will also contribute to the sound.

Although I have an Octy RS, I used to have a Miltek sports dp/cat fitted and it was a little deeper than standard almost burbly..had a nice rasp when you blipped the throttle.

Now have a Bluelfame dp/cat fitted...albeit 3''....rasp is gone still a bit of a burble at idle but when your giving it the full berries it's almost vtec in sound...has a real metallic edge to it.....quite intoxicating.;) So I can understand what Shifty is describing althogh obviously he has a diesel undertone.

I get the impression from what people have been saying is that -

Milltek - V8 type bassy exhaust beat

Blueflame - Highly tuned raspy type sound

One thing I miss about the M3 is it's intoxicating metallic rasp of it's engine / exhaust note! Not saying that a Fabia Diesel will ever sound like that but the std. engine / exhaust sound is not inspiring when pushing on, even with a remap!

Deffo swaying Blueflame's direction (for now at least)

Dave, I am not biting, I have said over and over again that I reckon the Blueflame to best for all the reasons you also have quoted, just love the sound of it when you wind it up...................................Superb.

I've posted 3 clips on google video, in all honesty they don't do justice to the sound. recorded on a webcam with built in mic. The clips havent gone live yet, but searching for "fabia" or "blueflame" will bring them up when google see fit to activate them.
