Thanks Wino,

It is 2008 (pre fl),BKD

  1. black/red wire at sensor plug; ignition live 12V via fuse SC4 (5amp)
  2. brown wire at sensor plug; chassis/0V
  3. grey/yellow wire at sensor ends up at pin 26 of a 36-way connector at the instrument cluster

All three go via a black 6-way connector "at front left in engine compartment"  remember that's left as if you're sitting in the car looking forwards, so nearside.

Thanks for this Wino!

Good morning, I'm from Brazil, I have an audi a3 1.8T 180cv Manual change 2001! I have the following problem:

00562 -Sensor for Oil Level / Temperature (G266)
30-10 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent

I already changed the sensor for 2 new and original units and the error persists!

I checked the wiring comes 12V signal with ignition on and also the ground arrives correctly.

I wanted to know if you can tell me where and what color the third wire goes to the dashboard of my car.

Do you have any tips on what this mistake might be?

Thank you very much in advance!
