  • With 22 pages of thread to read through, I must confess I haven’t bothered BUT have actually now had a test drive of a Model 3 and thought I’d share the impressions here.   As a background,

  • I got quite angry about the luxury car tax thing yesterday morning and cancelled. If they can bring a version in under that 40k threshold I might jump back in. Keeping an eye on the VW ID too.

interesting the first battery lasted 194?K before being changed despite being "abused" and only 6% down bodes well for the future ,     I recon Tesla just wanted to look inside

Electric Taxis like Petrol & Diesels then, keep filling them up, give them maintenance and keep them running day and night and they can last much longer than

low mileage ones used occasionally and with those that can take them or leave them.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/first-ever-review-of-the-tesla-model-3-performance-a-thrilling-modern-marvel-1532022533            Excuse what passes for journalism these days , this escaped from behind the paywall but has strangely now disappeared,    perhaps good news is no news or does not generate clicks   or may be the powers that be (Wall street) were upset,   but worth a read,    if brief .

I get the impression the WSJ and CNBC heavies are more friendly to their establishment mates because it’s easier to sell the impression they know what they are talking about.

hope you don't mind if I poach that phrase for later

I'm really hoping that Tesla can get their act together and start churning out these Model 3s so that they can start the RHD production and they become available. I fancied a model s but need the used prices to keep on falling first. The model 3 makes more sense and once the sales start I hope we will start to see some good deals on them!

Money back = more FUD    it is regarding 2016 projects contracted and not (as I understand) completed, in addition this happened several months ago but has just been "discovered" to the delight of the bears --  but at least it all helps drop the share price.                          Chris,  re:  good deals,  it's going to be a long wait I fear,  Tesla is very much that's the price,  etc and it looks like being that way for a long time before pre-owned 3's get on the ground @ sensible prices         re: the S  there are a couple of guys specialising/brokering  who would be a better bet than Tesla (remember there are NO Tesla dealerships(as we understand the local stealerships)  only direct factory to customer  outlets   the other benefit if you are a big mileage user is old model S and some X's  carry over free "Supercharging" and the rest of the 8 year battery &  drivetrain warranty

ahh the old "money back" FUD     usual sloppy copying of someone else's homework from  OUGHT-o-car      stocks' up :cash:28.6   :beer::beer:

3.18 to 60  faster than a McLaran F1   but who's counting ?:giggle:
