2007 Skoda Fabia 2 aux!

Featured Replies

Hi ppl,

Skoda Fabia 2 dance unit - aux not working

Banging my head against the wall is an understatement!!

When I plug my external MP3 into the aux port, why does this not show up on the headunit?? I've pressed the cd button and nothing scrolls it just stays on CD. I'm not sure if the aux port is not working or is there something wrong with the headunit.

Should I be able to access aux without plugging in my MP3? Because it won't....

Had the car 5 years and not bothered with it till now but because it's not working it's driving me nuts?

Advice please

Could be a number of reasons. I would imagine it's either the wiring, or it simply hasn't been enabled in vcds as an option fitted to the car.

I would start by getting someone close to you with vcds to plug it in and check the aux options are enabled on the media controller.

If you can rule that out then it's something defective in the connections.

FYI - From page 12 of the 'Dance' manual

Activating an external audio source

– By repetitively pressing the CD button to activate the external input,

AUX IN... is displayed. The play function starts automatically after

connecting the external source.

  • 2 weeks later...

Try to get new aux cable, it worked for me.
