A car transporter passing Lichfield full of new Skoda's with the vinyl wrap over bonnets, etc

 

 

What surprised me was that it was a CZ registered truck, I thought they came by ferry from a German port, not overland by HGV

Could have been the one I passed on the m1 the other day, thought it strange it wasn't uk truck.

 

Perhaps they are pushing them out direct to speed things up.

It wouldn’t be the 1st time a foreign registered transporter was loading up cars in the UK and delivering them to the dealers!

That is odd. They're made in Oxford I thought?

Perhaps it's because they invite non U transport companies to quote for the work in the Uk?  Happens in other sectors

Defo German Reg, There were Mini's on the transporter Dropping off a car/picking up a car,  I don't know  Return load of Mixed Mini's ?

It has been reported in the news at Christmas that the U.K. has a shortage of H.G.V. drivers.............

Coincidence that a CZ regd truck was carrying Skodas?....

 

bit of a long shot though, 9 cars, how many miles? 1000? 4 day return trip plus ferry, cant see them getting a backload to offset costs as they can only carry cars....
