Featured Replies

Any advice would be appriciated!

BTW i'm clueless.

FABIA SKODA 2006

Dads Skoda, in garage 6 months, battery dead, tried jump leads hopeless, wheels will not move, locked, shared drive way, cannot shift it out of garage, not in RAC. Can i pull it out with rope?

If so where do i attach rope?

Or how do i unlock wheels so mates and me can push it out?

Garden needs doing and cannot get to mower. Shes going nuts.

Any advice appriciated..

sounds like brakes are binding on due to corrosion.

put it in neutral handbrake off and give it a pull and it may move. if not the only other option is to remove wheels and release brakes.

there should be a towing attachment in boot that screws into hole in front bumper

ta mate, its going for scrap, me mates got a van, could this pull it out?, me and me mate dragged it 1 foot -  hard work.

Put the towing eye in the front and attach a tow rope to that.

It should live in the spare wheel well under the boot floor.

Scrapping a 2006 fabia because of flat battery and stuck on brakes. What a waste. It could be worth 2.5k with these 2 things fixed and an MOT. I bet the scrapper will have it back on the road.

Ta mate, your right,  but engines gone ,misfiring, oil leaking, replaced all three ignition coils, still no good, been quoted £600? to strip enginge down, 9 years old 97000, do you think its worth fixing?

True! Got 2.5k for my 9 year old vrs. Wasnt in the greatest condition either.

You should be able to get a scrappy to collect it AND pay you around a hundred squid, depending on scrap prices!
