Stuck park assist button

Featured Replies

Evening all. Was wondering if anyone can assist. On my 2011 Superb Elegance my park assist button has stuck down.

I've only attempted to use it once, just to try it out (I bought the car 2nd hand, so didn't spec it with it!) But when I did press it, it's now stuck in! No amount of wiggling or prodding will seem to release it.

What can I do?

I'd imagine something has been spilled on in the button which is making it stick, you'll be clean it. Try running a business card inside it, failing that you'll need to remove the button

Managed to pop the blank off in front and could access the park assist button. Removed it and cleaned it up with a baby wipe. Much better now.

Still probably won't ever use it though...

I said that before I bought the car and said I only want it for the all round sensors...... Use it all the time now as it gets a very long car into spaces you wouldn't think were big enough and is very useful and saves loads of time when parking at busy periods.

If you get lazy and use it in spaces that are massive it tends to mess it up sometimes.
