mines white again with muck and grime. thats one bad thing with black magic paint!

3 or 4 times, maybe. Depends on how cold it is.

I wash the boxster weekly, but at this time of year I am driving it about 10 miles each weekend just to keep it healthy.

The mondeo on the other hand has not seen any soapy water for some considerable time and the red paint is a nice shade of brown with salt mixed in, and I drive it 400 miles a week.

IMHO drive it 20 or 30 miles every two weeks would be better include a blast to clean

out the condensation from the exhaust....

10 miles aint really long enough its probably just getting warm

MERRY XMAS EVERY ONE

Once a week for me, at the local hand car wash. Part of me likes the dirty winter look, but most of me loves a shiny clean car in winter, as most other poeples are filthy. It's minging at the minute though, with that "Lombard RAC" look :D

Haven't washed mine this winter yet but i'm thinking about it.

I've stopped thinking about it, now where's those jellybabies

I was going to wash mine today as a Christmas present to it, but I've got showered, shaved and dressed now, so it'll have to wait.

It's been washed 3 times since the bad roads/weather set in (and it officially went back into Winter Mode - ie the OE wheels went back on).

Poor thing. I keep cleaning the lights and numberplates, but that's all.

I used to wash my Polo twice a week during the winter, but I've just given up nowadays.

Hi

The car has to look clean for customers, so 2 or 3 times a week at the mo. Really annoying when you clean it in the morning and by lunchtime, it looks like a special stage veteran.

Chris

I have NEVER washed my car this winter...........................

I fet the valetors in work to do it for me

Every couple of weeks usually, depends how often I'm using it and how bad the roads are with salt/grit/general winter cr@p :)

Just before winter sets in, I wash/polish/wax to give some protection through the dark months. So until spring she'll just get a standard wash, wheels cleaned and the interior vac'd out when required.

Yep, 'tis a fun time of year to try and drive a clean car  - might get out there tomorrow. Depends how cold it is, what's on TV and if I can be bothered

Steve

Just finished cleaning mine. Took her out for a 'brisk' drive to dry out the wheels/brakes.

I like a clean car, I also love the amount of traffic on Xmas day :D

I usually wash the car about once a week and a big one every month in the warmer months. But I admit I've let it slip now its cold. Always seems worth it when you're done and see the result though.

I like a clean car' date=' I also [i']love [/i]the amount of traffic on Xmas day :D

christmas traffic is so slow i got stuck behind a few doing 30 miles an hour in a 50zone:confused: ....laid back whil i was trying to get home in time to help out! grrr but yeah it is quiet!

Are you supposed to wash them then :confused:

does it affect warrenty :confused::confused:

Wash mine everyweek, but only because iv got the newest car between all my m8s and i like to keep my wise choice on show lol... Oh and been christmas with all the family coming over theres nothing like having the clean 'fleet' on the drive!

ha ha reminds me of some of the mechanics at work during the 60`s

who used to take the *iss when I came back from a rally .... saying I see

you`ve been to Halfords for some spray on rally mud or a stick on

wrap around tree:rofl:

What is this car washing thing. Dont you know that after a certain point no more dirt can stick !! My car has done over 12,000 miles from new 4 months ago, and I can still see the silver paintwork in places. Probably wash it for driving to the ski slopes in March though. (The way they pack the ferries. Surrounding cars bang their doors into what they assume is an old car.)

Once every 2 - 3 days. Sad, but true.

Driving to work thru the 'Peak' 22 miles round trip (spirited) means wheelarches have to be done every other wash. I hate them. Especially since furby's been lowered. **** - all clearance ensures bashed knuckles!

John. :(

I live in a tiny village down a farm road - no point washing it this time of year.

I used my ice scraper to clean some of the filth off the back plate last week though.

Might wash it come spring.

i wash mine once a week. only so i can see the latest stone chips. a bit pointless tho with all the gritting goin on at the mo.

I only wash it when it needs it. I washed it yesterday as it was covered in crap and salt from the road. I know i should wash it more often, but when the car had damaged panels i couldn`t be bothered, but now they are fixed i have started washing it again.

About once a week, the immigrants at the local hand car wash do a top job and, when it's cold, they make me a cup of coffee with "a little something in it" to warm me up!

every day or so, but only cos we have an excellent pressure washer at work and it's INDOORS lmao

adam

Not enough. I haven't cleaned it for about 2 months now. It's too damn cold.
