Anyone ordered once very recently got any feedback on order times as they currently sit now?

 

I was hoping to get one fairly quickly.

Looking at the order tracker thread, people seem to be waiting for up to 12 weeks for most models. L&K are taking a bit longer. I've been waiting 13 weeks so far and my car was due to be built last week. You'll be lucky to get a brand new one much quicker than that.

Ordered mine on 21st April and I've not had a confirmed build week yet - hoping to hear this week. When I ordered it was pretty vague, they suggested 12-16 weeks was likely (SE L Exec ordered).

The approved used car stock lists online shows plenty of example... ok some not available yet but plenty are.

Dont know where you are but `Wings of Peterborough` have an unregistered SEL Exec saloon in stock.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'm after a basic 1.6DTI SE Business in Pacific Blue ideally, but would consider a basic SEL. I suspect most showroom cars will have metallic and a few options which kills it for me.

Metallic paint but doesn't appear to have any extras, unless not listed. Good price for anyone who's looking, nice find!

Be interesting to see what comes back.

 

My current car is costing me £200 a month more than the Superb will, so every month saved is £200 in the bank.

I ordered start of April and been quoted last week June for build. End July est delivery. Not that I'm banking on either of those dates landing.

Remember to write "TDI", unless you want a crappy Opel (Vauxhall) engine fitted (DTI) :-D

I ordered Feb22 quoted July4 at the dealer.

I ordered an L&K 280 on the 11th February. Confirmed building it this week. I make that 11 weeks. Dealer was a little vague on delivery time after build. Said it could arrive quickly but not to be surprised if it was another 4-5 weeks, because shipping can be delayed :(

So after my e-mail-a-thon, I got offered two cars, both of which I can understand why they are unsold - looks like I'll be ordering one - 14 weeks was the most common order time, which is effectively 4 months, which if we're honest is the new September number plate.

Might explain why we've seen so few on the roads. What's the order time with the identical passat? Worth an extra couple of grand?

SEL estate built last week. At Emden port today awaiting shipping! getting excited now. got to go and sign finance agreement now!

Passats are in stock, but much more expensive on our particular scheme.

The Passat is a definate no no for me...ugly (to me!) and Diesel only....yuk!

I quite like the saloon, but the estate leaves me cold.

 

The Superb is a nicer car IMO

I just find the Passat and all VW cars ugly. No character or style for me.

Ordered the Hatchback with all options and Sunroof 4 weeks ago.

Emailed my Salesman for an update and still no built date/week yet. Could be a long wait.
