I use tesco 99 in my 1.2tsi

I use Morrisons for diesel, have done since I got the car. This was my average mpg on a recent 40 mile journey. Last tank got me 485 miles and the light wasn't on yet. Only managed to get 38 litres in and that was after venting 3 times.

It was a pleasant 22 degrees outside which I know helps to improve mpg, but I'm still happy with that figure even if it is over-reading a bit.

I usually fill the car with shell's v-power every Friday evening. And it reads a remaining 510 miles left on the clock, that lasts me until the following Friday without going less than quarter tank and it reading that I've done 400-440 miles Depending on my driving.

I get that on my overall, hit 62.6 yesterday, I expect at least that on any journey other than prolonged town driving. I usually get at least 64 on extra urban and extended journeys.
