good evening gents I've  just picked up my first ever skoda today mk2 superb est cr se 170 manual (64)  and I must say its fantastic car I bought it in a dealership called blades they are based in western-super-mare they were fine as it goes.. well I gave the car a good little drive back to south wales and im so impressed with its performance power and economy ive had a little fiddle with the stalk but theres one thing I cant suss out and that is how to change the digital speed from km to mph on the display thanks gents

VCDS (or Carista) is needed to change the country code to Australia; that can then give you the large MPH display.

The kmph is as the dial doesn't have kmph on it, only mph (I think!)

how will I be able to do that

You need someone with VAGCOM to change the cars country code to Australia and then you can enable digital display of mph.

Where are you in South Wales?

Enjoy your Superb II - I certainley have been delighted with mine  :D

I like the kmh display - but I suppose I drive in Europe a few times a year - It's probably a legal requirement in some way when driving over there?

Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to France in a week, time to get the inspection camera and sort the headlights ready for driving abroad - nearly forgot

Do you not have "Travel Mode " settings in the lights section of maxidot..

Sadly not because I have the poverty spec model with halogen headlights rather than HID's so "travel model" or "tourist mode" not available

We struggled (me and dealer) to find out how to convert to European driving without using stick on Eurolites as the headlight units in the facelift model are different. Eventually found tiny levers that are really difficult to get at - I used a screwdriver and inspection camera combo
