Fabia II crankshaft oil seal leak

Featured Replies

Hi,

Few month ago i took my car to service at the dealer then i noticed a very small leak from the crankshaft pulley i took it to a friend and he found that they put about 3L of oil or more. now i reduced the oil level and changed crankshaft oil seal, the quantity of oil leaking has been reduced (from small leak to smaller) but the leak is still there.

It's under warranty isn't it?

Welcome to the forum.

Was there any reason that you removed oil and changed the seal and did not have it done at a Skoda Workshop under warranty.

Was it a Skoda Workshop that did the servicing?

For servicing yes, but they sucks i prefer independent workshops

Sorry if i misunderstand,

so are you OK that it was overfilled and you are just going to pay for this error and not use the Manufacturers Warranty?

So what is your next move since you still have a small leak,

are you away to change the seal again?
