Headlight bulb warning

Featured Replies

My dipped drivers side bulb is out and I have no warning on the dash. Either in the normal instrument cluster or the maxidot display (I assume its maxidot as it shows doors open and other info)

The Skoda dealership here in Germany where I bought it said he thought that was only on Octavia and Superb (He was just a salesman and not an technician)

Can you guys give any insight into this. Should I get a warning that a bulb is out?

It is a pre-facelift 2014 model

All warnings light bulb are options in software... You can have it done by VCDS... I don't remember exactly for which one...

Use VCDS, go to Central Electronics module [09]and check coding at:

Byte 11

Bits 6 and 7

Byte 16

Bits 4 to 7

Byte 19

Bits 4 to 7

Only check the Bits that correspond to the light diagnostics you need, according to your equipment.
