Dear Mr Leckenby,

Thank you for your e-mail. I can confirm that it is not planned to introduce a leather trim as a factory fit option for the Fabia vRS.

Yours sincerely,

One good thing tho, don't have to hang about any longer before placing order:thumbup:

I suspect you aren't the only one!!

yep try seatsurgeons i got mine done looks very OE and fantastic quality

How much do Seat Surgens charge and do they use 100% leather?

It's in the GB section Josh. £785 iirc.

Yes it's all good quality German sourced leather.

I think their website is down at the moment.

Pictures at - http://www.fabia-vrs.com/gallery_7.htm

It is a shame - never mind though.

How is the Seat Surgeons work withstanding the test of time?

very well im 5`9" 16+ stone still look as good as new and the seats are more comfortable eaisier to clean and smell well nice the best 750ish quid i ever spent on a car so far

What about the sagging problem some people had? Are there any pics of the sagging floating around, and is it really that bad/noticeable?

Any pics of the drivers side Harry? ;)

I would go for Seat Surgeons, I'm just slightly put off by the thought of 17st fat **** combined with 25k a year turning them to saggy rubbish.

mine are ok sorry to hear bout yours

Very happy with mine too. No sagging as yet and I am at least 15 stone.

I do believe they can be 'tightened up' with a heat gun but speak to SS first.

I will post some hi res pics of the drivers seat tomorrow after I recover from the hangover I'm going to induce tonight :D

  • 3 weeks later...

Anyone got a fone number for Seat Surgeons ??

Blimey that must've been one hell of a p*ssup!! its the 16th now and you still haven't recovered! ;)

Well, from the pics in the gallery that full leather re-fit looks stunning.... better than then £1900 leather option in the R32!!!!

I'll be looking into this when the Furb arrives....... also, I have Transcal about 2 miles from my house and I've seen their leather re-fits and I like what I've seen!

:)

This surprises me.

I have just picked up the January 2006 brochure from Adamsons of Walmer (Kent) and it shows leather trim as an option on the vRS. Price to be announced. See photo below.

WOW - I REALLY need to know EVERYTHING about those seats...

If its a factory option, then I may seriously consider handing my (company) vRS back and private purchasing a fully loaded new one!

Tom, I've just looked again and it's listed under retailer supplied accessories, not factory options. Rather bizarre ?

Oh So it must be the anti fuzzing solution that they have been working on then, Great!

Very happy with mine too. No sagging as yet and I am at least 15 stone.

What about the seats though??!!

Even better! Retro-fit must be a possibility then! ACE!
