Leaving and re joining Orange

Umm

I would check if they will port the nuber back onto a contract at a later date for you (if you think you may need it of course) and if so how long do you have to be on PAYG.

It's a phone I got for my 10 year old daughter and she hardly uses it so it was a bit of a waste to be left on contract so thats why I'm switching to PAYG. No plans to go back to contract as I can't find an equal deal!

It was £25 per month for 2 hours on peak + 2 hours off peak calls plus free (1000) off peak texts for 6 months and I got £100 cashback every 4 months (x3) so basically got a free phone & contract!

Don't see how they make money from it TBH??

avoid 3 like the plague. however as mentioned earlier, they're bloody brilliant if you want to get some anger out the system! they'll argue like a cornered dog! its fantastic! - i wasn't even a customer but rang up to argue on behalf of a friend - obviously 'impersonating' said friend as they were nearly in tears!

myself - still with T-mobile, was originally with one2one, avoided their cheeky attempt to change my priceplans occasionally - payg, and its been okay i guess, barely use it to make a contract worthwhile.

Can't you move your number to PAYG on orange, cancel the contract then in 3 - 6 months sign up for a new contract and state on the sign up form which is on the website that you want to bring your PAYG number with you. At least that way you get to stay with Orange who despite their slightly dodgy way of dealing with existing customers have a good network conpaired with some of the others.

I recently cancelled my contract with them and still had my PAYG sim from a year ago, I stuck a fiver on it and made a few phonecalls then signed up for a new contract stating I wanted to bring that PAYG number with me, got a Nokia N70 for
